Dr. Zachary Peacock is a fellowship trained pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgeon. His clinical interests are in orthognathic surgery, pediatric obstructive sleep apnea, cleft lip and palate, and dentoalveolar surgery including dental implants. His research interests include orthognathic surgery and benign pathology of the maxillofacial region. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Originally from rural Michigan, Dr. Peacock completed his undergraduate work at Michigan State University before receiving his DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He graduated summa cum laude, ranking first in his class. He then received his MD and completed residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Peacock then completed the Mass General Pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Fellowship.
He is the chief of Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Mass General and the chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He is also co-director of the Cleft and Craniofacial Center at Mass General for Children and Shriner's Hospital for Children - Boston.

Our doctor was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He seemed very busy...and stressed. The office was very efficient but there was no time for pleasantries. We were in and out... got what we needed...nothing more and nothing less.

Dr. Peacock worked me in on short notice for a new-patient visit/second opinion, which I very much appreciated. He took time to upload a CT scan from my other provider, and explained how he would approach an upcoming surgery. His feedback helped me clarify a couple of things I hadn't asked my surgeon, and gave me more certainty about the approach we're planning. He and the other doctor in his office seemed very thorough, and I would feel comfortable asking him to do surgery except I'm already working with a good surgeon for this particular issue.

Dr Peacock is very highly skilled. Dr Peacock did a complex surgery and saved the lower aveolar nerve.

There are many oral surgeons to chose from in the New England area, and I chose to work with the best. Dr. Peacock is a highly skilled surgeon who maintains high professional standards. His genuine kindness and warm demeanor made a difficult experience much easier to bear. His clear explanations, thoughtful answers to my questions, and calm reassurance before and after the procedure were deeply appreciated. I'm grateful to have been in his and his excellent staff's care and will gladly recommend Dr. Peacock to others.
