My visit to Mass General Hospital from the time I walked in for my x-rays and got up to the doctor's office and to see the doctor's associates and then the doctor was exceptional. The care and time they took and getting me in and out in a very timely fashion was excellent.

Dr. Kwon is exceptional - his surgical skills made my experience getting two surgeries great. I have so much confidence in Dr. Kwon's expertise and skill. At the same time, Dr. Kwon is easy to speak with and shows a caring side, which I find is not typical to most surgeons. I cannot recommend Dr. Kwon enough- for quality, expertise, and a kind approach. Dr. Kwon makes difficult topics such as what goes on in the surgery easy to understand with great analogies.

The orthopedic surgeon was dismissive and uncaring during my visit . He treated me like a body part rather than as a patient.

Dr Kwon was extremely helpful arranging several weeks of intense Rehabilitation at Spaulding Brighton, so that I was able to return to my full time work [redacted]. I am very Thankful ! Let's just say my last experience with my last knee surgery was horrific! The coordination between my Hospital up north Weeks memorial and Mass general was a nightmare! I had to call both hospitals to make sure communication were moving forward with all the tests. I could go on for a while but it doesn't mater.

I was disappointed. I wanted to have a review of my right knee and leg. The surgeon was hell bent on informing me about knee surgery. When i indicated that i was not here for a pre-surgery consult he stood up and rushed out the door. I was stunned. Assembly line medicine At MGH. [redacted]

Dr. Kwon is a great surgeon. He quickly determined there was nothing wrong with my prosthetic and said my pain was from soft tissue. Not faulting him but there was little help in how to address the soft tissue problem which at times makes it too painful to walk. A team approach to address my ambulatory problem might help.

Dr. Kwon did a great job. He was pretty thorough on what surgery needs to be done and the timeline. The only feedback I would have is I would want a little bit more info on whether we're doing the ceramic route or titanium. I know he mentioned those, but also like the technique. Is he doing an anterior or posterior approach? But that's just me not having asked him enough of those questions. So that's not on him. I thought he did a really great job. Yeah, he's a great doctor. I saw Dr. Kwon after and when he knew I was not a candidate for a knee replacement, he didn't have much to say to me. I saw him for about 3 minutes tops. He said when my knee starts to hurt again, come see him. He didn't ask anything about my history or how I could help myself with my condition moving forward.

I am sorry to say that there was no apology given for the two hours I waited to see the doctor. Thankfully, I could wait and didn't have a conflict that afternoon but having waited a few months for the appointment I would have hated to miss it because of how late it started. Also, the doctor did not introduce himself. Considering a PA first walked without an introduction I wasn't sure to whom I was speaking at first. Once I saw him and we engaged in conversation and the issue I can to see him, things improved dramatically.

I understand that but was not given any explanation as to what would happen if I were to fall and break the hip or if there would be a possibility to use a longer stem. Yes, he's a very good doctor because I have arthritis, and then I did that, they could not find my x-ray. He did the x-ray for me, and then also, he also informed me that I'm a diabetic patient. My hemoglobin A1c was too high, he could not schedule my surgery right now. So because of my diabetic and then he has to wait for my A1C to go down to seven. So far, I can call him back and then he will schedule the surgery. So far, this is the first time I'm dealing with him. This is my first appointment with him. I don't have much to say. Then maybe next time I will have to say more. But for me, so far, he's a good, very, very good doctor.

Good though about an hour late

[redacted] The doctor came in, said I couldn't have the procedure because of the skin infection and left. He was abrupt and in a hurry.

I saw this provider for pain, expecting that surgery was in order. The doctor didn't think I had reached that point. [redacted]. He had no suggestions for pain management long term, so I left without help for the foreseeable future. His manner was curt and I felt dismissed. He was professional and no doubt confident in his assessment but I have had a lot of pain and I don't think that was factored into his discussion with me at all.

The doctor really didn't examine me. And it looked like the only thing that I was looking for was surgery, and that wasn't the case. I needed more information. If I don't need a surgery, what should I do? Tell me more about what can help me. I have the feeling the time that was spent with me wasn't enough.

Dr. Kwon has done two knee replacements for me and I had no problem. He was wonderful. The recovery was long and very hard, but he was wonderful through the whole thing and I am going back for him because I need two hip replacements right now.

Dr. Kwon is very nice. He knows what he's doing. I've had Dr. Kwon before. My husband had Dr. Kwon. He had an assistant that came in beforehand and addressed any issues or concerns. Dr. Kwon had an x-ray taken and he told me the results and talked to me and told me if I need any help in the future. He's always there. So I find him very helpful and I would recommend Dr. Kwon.
