My doctor provided for plenty of time discussing my situation and regularly keeps my local oncologist who provided previous treatment informed.

Have always had a good experience with MGH

MGH is probably the best hospital on earth but I couldn't help but think that recommendations made by doctors are guided by things other than what is best for the patient. They recommended surgery, or radiation/hormone treatment, for my prostate surgery. There was very little discussion about focal therapy which is far less invasive and with fewer side effects. I feel I was steered away from using focal by doctors who only use other treatments for prostate surgery.

He's a great listener and he's very knowledgeable about his craft.

It was evident that both were very familiar with my prostate situation, the results from my 4 biopsies, the results from my MRI, the results from my PETCT scan, and my responses from the questionnaire that I filled out. For this, I was very appreciative. Both doctors listened to my take on where I am with my prostate journey, certainly new unchartered territory for me.
