William C Tran, MD

Dr. Tran specializes in general urology, including kidney stone, urinary dysfunction, urethral stricture and erectile dysfunction, and in urologic oncology, including prostate, bladder and kidney cancers. He has experience in minimally invasive transurethral surgeries, laparoscopy, and da Vinci robotic surgery. Dr. Tran grew up in Worcester, MA. He graduated from M.I.T. in chemical engineering and received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed his surgical and urological training at the State University of New York Downstate Medical School in New York City. His training program is one of the most comprehensive programs in the country with rotations at multiple hospitals, including Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) as acting fellow, Veterans Affairs, county, university and community hospitals. At MSKCC, he received additional training in urologic oncology under a world-renowned urologist, Dr. Peter T. Scardino, and robotic surgery surgeon, Dr. Vincent Laudone.

Besides clinical medicine, Dr. Tran also has an interest in medical care management and received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
