I was absolutely beyond impressed with every aspect of my visit. From my initial contact with the administrative assistant, [redacted], to Dr. [redacted], and ultimately Dr. Bi, the entire experience was exceptional. [redacted] Dr. Bi exceeded my expectations in every way - her professionalism, knowledge, interpersonal skills, compassion, and overall demeanor were remarkable. Given the anxiety I had surrounding my diagnosis, she answered my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly, and was more than willing to repeat or clarify things when I didn't understand them the first time. She never showed frustration or made me feel rushed. I truly feel fortunate to have been referred to her and to have had her overseeing my care. The entire team was top notch, and I feel extremely confident having them in charge of my case. It's hard to put into words how much their empathy, knowledge, professionalism, and overall approach matter when you're in crisis. They made an awful situation not only tolerable, but also gave me a realistic understanding of my options, timeline, potential risks, and expected outcomes.

I received an MRI and the technician I saw was incredibly respectful of my gender. They offered me a choice for which dressing room to use, respectfully acknowledged that I may be wearing a binder instead of a bra and used the appropriate pronouns at all times. This was honestly the best experience I have ever had with someone validating my nonbinary gender. They were so respectful, kind, and casual about everything. I was treated like a normal human and it really meant a lot to me. All of the staff I interacted with were respectful.

Dr. Bi was incredibly compassionate to my circumstances, not just looking at my chart but at how my condition was effecting my emotional well being and my family. She came in the room with a firm understanding of my condition and a plan of action that she explained using the imaging of my brain and she was careful to not set my expectations too high. I walked out of that room feeling validated and heard and when I thought I couldn't be any more impressed with her she called me later that evening herself to offer to schedule a surgery after having spent more time considering my case.
