Dr. Neel did an extraordinary job taking skin cancer off of the front of my face, just the side of my nose, which is highly visible, and it's completely healed over, taken care of. This was my third Mohs surgery with Dr. Neel. As with the other two, he performed this one skillfully, flawlessly, and painlessly. His doctor patient manner is to explain each step before he does it to make the patient relax. [redacted] Also as part of the discharge process they carefully explained the options and methods of treating the wound post-operatively and restrictions on bending and exercise. If I need additional Mohs surgeries I will continue requesting Dr. Neel and if I hear of others who need it I will suggest Dr. Neel.

I've seen Dr. Neel many times previously, all good. I sincerely believe he has my best interest in mind. On this occasion, I had bleeding that lasted through the night. It probably could've been prevented.

Positive experience for skin surgery

I was pleased that my surgeon, Victor Neel, MD, discussed another alternative to Mohs surgery for the squamous cell carcinoma on my lower leg, since the surgery can result in complications because of the tumor's location. I was allowed to decide how I wanted him to proceed, and opted for the alternative he suggested, namely an injection of a small amount of a chemo drug, Efudex, into my skin near the tumor.
