Dr. Carroll is a nationally recognized otolaryngologist and researcher, who I reached out to when (as a Dr myself), I realized my condition was somewhat complicated. His input was critical to planning the next steps to manage and treat my laryngopharyngeal reflux, of which I am very appreciative.

Dr Carroll and his PA [redacted] were absolutely WONDERFUL! I have terminal cancer with likely only months to live. I lost my voice because of the cancer a couple of months ago and thanks to them I can talk again! I know that this won't change my prognosis but at least I can talk and Dr. Carroll & [redacted] were the only providers I've seen throughout this cancer journey that have given me HOPE!! I cannot thank them enough and I am forever grateful! (So is my son, my only caregiver)

I found him to be kind and personable Very skilled laryngoscopy, guided me through it well, and very pleasant and down to earth. who provided great info (written and spoken) about meds for gerd. My only constructive feedback: The speech pathologist takes the initial history. She did so super well. But when dr. C came in it seemed to me that he already had decided upon likely diagnosis and didn't really take a history. That was likely correct, but I think it would be great for clinician to ask a few questions first just to confirm more key aspects of history directly with patient.

Dr Carroll always reaches out with a questionnaire asking about why you are coming for an appointment and any symptoms relative to the last visit. This helps me as a patient, to gather my thoughts and provides him, as well as his staff with the information they need to make the most of the scheduled appointment.

I was quite impressed with the speach DR and Dr Carrol, trying to get to the problem immediately and the time they spent with me, with some tests. All other Drs take no time with their patients. I'm from CT and go to Boston to be with the best Doctors. I feel if there is anything that can be done with the terrible situation these 2 Drs will finding a way to fix it. I'm in a good place.

Dr. Carroll took the time to listen to my symptoms and I felt as if he really understood exactly where I was and what my possibilities were for healing. So I definitely felt comfortable in the office and was very happy to meet him and to see that there are people who are looking at these types of symptoms and are able to help patients like me.

I cannot say strongly enough how much I appreciate their care for me on the day I saw them, the issue I am seeking to remedy, nor the course of action they have prescribed, which appears to me to be quite prudent. I have full confidence in them and am very thankful to have been recommended to their practice. While it was a longer wait to see them than I would have liked, ultimately it was well worth the wait.

All people were very professional, but I always have a hard time with one of the receptionists. Whether it be over the phone or in person, every time that I have a question, concern, or a message for Dr. Carroll, it is so difficult due to her curt attitude. I love everyone else.

The front desk person was robotic and rude. Did not smile or speak in a respectful way. I asked a question short answer. Not what we expected.

Dr. Carroll is very good at explaining what causes your symptoms and how to deal with them. I like that he showed me pictures of my vocal cords so that I could see first hand what was going on. The voice therapist are also very helpful.

Well, Dr. Carroll I've had down to see him several times, and he's always such a professional but also very friendly, and I just find that really rare in what I've seen these days. I don't get a lot of help and direct answers from other doctors, and I'm getting them from him. And the only thing I would say on the last time that I saw him it was sort of overwhelming the report was eight pages, and it was a little bit hard to discern, just really to go through all the information there. But he did provide for me a second appointment with a speech therapist so I kind of had her to ask. So that was probably all you could do at that point. It's going to take time to go through the report one line at a time. Anyway, thank you. [redacted]
