Dr Sujata Somani is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. She is a gynecologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and is the Medical Director of the Mass General Women's Mid life Center. She attended Northwestern University and completed her medical degree at the University of Chicago. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago Hospitals.
Dr Somani currently divides her time between patient care and teaching of medical students and residents. Her clinical interests include caring for patients with concerns regarding perimenopause and menopause, as well as women desiring contraception, evaluation and treatment for abnormal uterine bleeding, and premature ovarian insufficiency.
Dr Somani is actively involved in the teaching of medical students and residents in ambulatory gynecology and divides her time between teaching and patient care.
