Superb physician!

I would have appreciated if the doctor were familiar with my reasons for getting the shot. He had no idea about my medical issues and pain leading up to the procedure.

The provider was friendly, but as with many providers, especially orthopedists, I felt like I was on an assembly line, that the provider was mostly on autopilot and following a recipe, & that I was interchangeable with any of his other patients.

He was very professional, very helpful, and I certainly would call upon him again for my medical needs. Thank you very much.

This care provider was methodical. He was professional. He understood exactly what I was going through. He looked at the MRI before I ever got there. It's the first time I've ever walked into this office. It was enlightening for me. It was wonderful. I can't say enough good things about this care provider and his office. Thank you.

Had an appointment with Dr Makovitch and a physician also was there. Was frustrated that the Physician was on his phone texting during the appointment. I asked what he thought about Dr Makovitch take on my case and he responded something totally off topic as he wasn't paying attention. I know the system is strained as it's so hard to get appointments and the Drs are worked hard. My perspective is that I drove 3 hrs roundtrip for the appointment which took a total of 4.5 hrs out of my day and missed work and my health insurance barely covers the appointment. That appointment was really important to me to figure out a solution to my back pain. Was tough having this guy texting during the appointment. Would have preferred he left and came back in after he was done doing what he needed to do. I know I wasn't an urgent case but i really need a solution and would have been great to have another set of eyes on my case. I went to Mass General b/c they are the best. I did not get the best level of service

Dr. Makovitch listened, heard what I was requesting, and we agreed on a follow up process. His office completed the referral to Spine Center and a response was completed within a day. I also received a phone call from a surgical consult request within a timely manner. All partied involved were helpful and courteous.

I mentioned pain in L5 and exam was superficial.

Doctor was very nice and listened to me. Doctor reviewed MRI imagines with me. I was able to get in to see the doctor sooner than originally scheduled due someone else canceling an appointment. This was only my first visit with the doctor. I am still waiting to be contacted about scheduling a PRP procedure with the doctor.

Doctor Makovitch is an outstanding doctor who is patient and attentive to his patient's needs.

Dr Makovitch is absolutely brilliant... he treats me with the utmost care and respect while delivering steroid injections to my spine. He consistently checks in to make sure that I'm comfortable and at ease. The procedure makes me a bit nervous but he completely balances out the experience. I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor.

Dr Makovitch was knowledgeable, helpful and professional. I would recommend his expertise to anyone.

Since I had knee x-rays & ulsd, I would have liked a copy of each so I could look @ the Impression other than having it stated to me that I have severe arthritis. I know that. Based on reading results, I might have selected a course of action as f/u after 2 cortisone injections that I received & had requested in divided doses. Though I'm not @ my age looking toward TKnee/partial knee intervention, & I stated that in office, I would have liked to have knowledge of if done, with severe arthritis, if procedure would be helpful to any degree or not based on X-rays/ulsd.

This physician provided the service because I couldn't get an appointment with my regular physician as soon as I would have liked due to her schedule. My regular physician volunteered to arrange for one of her associates to perform the procedure, which I agreed to. Her recommendation was good and I was very satisfied with the covering physician.

I feel they really care about me and want me to be the healthiest I can be.

I was very impressed with Dr. Makovitch. I will strongly recommend him to all of my friends, acquaintances and peers.

The doctor was up to date professionally, very focused and clear about how to proceed.

He had his mind made up before he saw me that the [redacted] tear on the right side was the reason for bilateral pain. That surgery won't help & since the cortisone in the past didn't help there's no point. He actually said, I can't fix it. With out following up with but we can try or anything... he said, what do you want me to do?

The doctor listened to my concerns, answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable.

Reception brisk...asked for my id! First time anyone has ever asked me...ever, anywhere in all of mass general! Felt weird...do I look suspicious?

Great service. Explanation and guidance to solve my problem. When asked the doctor was very helpful and answered responsibly and sincerely.

Seen this gentleman two times and he's helped me immensely both times he's caring. He's very good at what he does and that's what makes me happy about going to see him. He gets results in a positive way.

Everyone at MGH is amazing - one of the receptionists at 3300 blue building is a little curt but everyone else is amazing
