I graduated from the University of Insubria Medical School in Varese (Italy). Following medical school, I completed the Anesthesia and Critical Care residency program at the University of Milan-Bicocca in Milan (Italy). During residency, I also served as a research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston under the mentorship of Dr. Lorenzo Berra. After completing my residency, I worked four years as an attending anesthesiologist and intensivist at Niguarda Hospital in Milan (Italy). To advance my knowledge and expertise, I returned to Boston to join the Anesthesia Critical Care fellowship program at Massachusetts General Hospital, where I am now a faculty member serving as attending anesthesiologist and intensivist.
