Very positive experience. The next visit which is a follow up will be more telling as I will hear diagnosis and options.

He was very thorough, explained everything, seemed to have a very good understanding of what I wanted to do and what I could do. And I thought he was a good person, a good doctor to see.

He didn't explain what he thought the pain was from I only learned about it from his note afterward. Like we didn't even discuss what he thought I my thst I had right hamstring and weak quads. He also said there was no surgical option for my issue he thinks I have and I learned online that there most certainly is a procedure. When I had questions about it and multiple times reach out I did not hear back from him. [redacted] I found him difficult to communicate with.

Dr. Goertz was fantastic, made me feel really comfortable and even asked my pronouns for his clinical note which never happens. He thoroughly assessed my issue and told me that I actually need to be seen by a different provider, which is disappointing only because I would have really liked to continue working with him. His manner was very welcoming, he listened to me carefully, and he had read over my chart enough to bring up an issue that I hadn't brought up because I didn't realize it might be related.

His warm personality immediately put me at ease, and his genuine kindness made every appointment feel less daunting and more hopeful. I felt truly listened to and supported. Dr. Goertz 's expertise was evident in the way he explained my condition and treatment options with clarity and confidence. He combined deep medical knowledge with a reassuring presence that made a real difference in my healing process. Simply put-he was GREAT. Great experience, important decisions made.

It was difficult to get a word in edgewise with Dr. Goertz. While trying to explain my history of my injury, I was repeatedly interrupted and felt dismissed. I felt I had to ask a lot of questions to get medical advice on my options for treatment and that the explanations were occasionally unclear. Dr. Goertz spent the majority of the visit discussing my weight after I informed him of my history with disordered eating. While I understand he felt this was a professional obligation for my health, his emphasis was extreme. I wish instead of sharing generalized information about weight and overall health (not primarily orthopedic health), that we had spent more time on my treatment options and the implications of my x-ray results. I think it is inappropriate after a patient discloses mental health issues related to weight and food to then emphasize so strongly how horrible it is to be fat, as this creates a significant chance for mental health relapse and eating disorders come with so many serious health risks. While Dr. Goertz said repeatedly that this was not to shame anyone, this felt similar to saying "no offense" before saying something offensive- the shame was still felt.

I was in a lot of pain. He treated me promptly and I started to feel better on the way home.no

Dr Goertz knew latest about menopause and hormones impact on joint health. It was so refreshing and helpful.

Technically very competent and knowledgeable, but came across as being in a hurry. while pausing for questions, his demeanor made it difficult to feel unrushed. he seemed in a hurry to get on to the next patient.

I found Dr Goertz to be professional, friendly, and most of all quite interested in dealing with my issue. He presented a multitude of options, went through the pros and cons of each, explained each option, and then allowed me to decide which one I wanted to choose. He did not try to sway me one way or the other. I was really happy with how attentive he was to my needs and also to specific questions. I look forward to seeing him again in the future.

I had seen Dr. Goertz the other day but I had seen a different orthopedist maybe like eight months ago who I had a really bad experience with. I just didn't appreciate him at all. This doctor, Dr. Goertz was very, very helpful, very kind, very nice, listened, gave ideas, explained. He just was a real genuine person that made me feel at ease getting a steroid shot. me feel like he actually was listening to me and not judging. And I appreciated him very much. I was very, very pleased with seeing Dr. Goertz. So you can put that in his file.

Dr. Goertz, it was a perfect doctor. I like how he worked. He's a good doctor. He listened to me when I go down there. He's a perfect provider. I do recommend it to a lot of people because he's really good. The nursing and everything else, it was good. So I would give him not 10, I would give him a 100. Friendly and welcoming

He did NOT explain the issue/concern in an easy to understand simple layman language. Used all medical jargons only and did not explain cleary why the issue/pain is happening & what exactly is the cure. Coming out after visit i still dont know why i have this pain & how it will go away. No intructions on followup visit unless ask to. [redacted]

Dr. Gortz was made me feel very comfortable and really listened to me. It was a great experience. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr. Gortz was very thorough, explained everything, and even provided feedback for me to get my primary care for potential issues down the road. So he was definitely concerned with my ongoing health, as well as the specific issue that I saw him with. I would go back to Dr. Gortz. As a matter of fact, I have a follow-up in a month, and I look forward to seeing him again. And the nurse that was there that helped with the cortisone injection, everybody was wonderful. It was a very pleasant experience.

I just had my orthopedist appointment on Wednesday with Dr. Gortz and he listened to where I actually had pain. He would go back and reassess the images that he had and push it on my knee in different places to try to make sure that we were coming up with the best plan. And he was very nonjudgmental about the weight that I was carrying and talked to me about life choices as opposed to judgmental and trying to push medications or anything like that. He was very good and heard me out and it was a great experience.
