Strange that she failed to acknowledge my very high blood pressure as taken by the tech. It also strikes me as strange that there was absolutely no physical exam, not even palpitation of my neck although I have a thyroid condition and she is an endocrinologist. Doctors don't seem to touch patients any more. That said, I have been very pleased with Dr. Chou. She is always attentive and very responsive through the portal.

Dr Bertot was very thorough in conversation about supplements that I take. (I do not take any prescription meds.) He also described possible meds that would help to reduce bone degradation. When Dr Chou talked with me afterward, she was very clear and offered options of treatments. I was very pleased with both docs.

This was an excellent endocrinologist with specific specialization in bone disease. Dr. Chou took a thorough bone history from me and asked many relevant questions to establish if there might be secondary causes contributing to my PM osteoporosis. Most importantly she and I agreed on a treatment plan to start immediately with Tymlos, a PTH analog which will build bone. I will take this for 1-2 years before going on an antiresorprive drug.
