Very knowlegdable on my disability and very empathetic

Dr Finkelstein is an outstanding provider. She is very respectful, and is a genuine listener. She cares about my experience both with her and with my treatment concerns in healthcare system as a whole.

I feel very lucky to have seen this neurologist because she was not only knowledgeable but personable and patiently listened to my history of I've been having trouble with visual migraines and also with the vertigo and I really appreciated that I was able to see her so quickly, which I know is often not the case, but in this particular situation it was really I was able to do that and I'm very appreciative of that and appreciative of all the time she gave me. I am aware FND is hard but telling me to do the same thing over and over over again with no progress is not treatment

Dr. Finkelstein understands that I present a complicated case (gait disorder of unknown origin) and that I have been referred from one doctor to the next. She volunteered to oversee this complicated medical picture, handling communication among the numerous doctors in an attempt to pin down the best course of care. This degree of empathy and responsibility is extremely unusual and I am very grateful to be in her hands.
