I was very pleased. I've had problems for 7 or 8 years and was unable to get a correct diagnosis until I went to Dr. Varma. In conflict with my previous diagnosis, there is treatment for my current diagnosis which I has been very successful. I am now essentially symptom free.

This was as good a first visit as I could have hoped for. I have a combination of chronic conditions ([redacted]) that often overwhelms providers. I wanted to get into the neuro-intestinal practice since all of the providers in this group were highly recommended to me by Dr. [redacted], who has been helping me with my dysautonomia. Dr. Varma has experience with patients like me, and it showed right away. We had an excellent conversation about how to start the diagnostic process, considering options that did and did not work for me, which is always so important. She seems very intelligent but it was hard to get a word in. Lots of information in a short amount of time. I felt a little overwhelmed after the call and came to different treatment decisions after the call.

Dr Varma is an extraordinary doctor. Her knowledge and her ability to communicate was outstanding. I was extremely confident in her ability and education her advice and counsel was so helpful. She is a treasure and Mass general is so lucky to have her as as attending.
