I saw Dr Ang and an anesthesiologist, unfortunately I can't recall her name. They were both awesome and being in health care myself we had a lot of "bad back" stories to relate to. We had a great conversation about realistic treatment plans in regards to my back pain.

I have found Dr. Ang to be a provider who listened very carefully and analyzed all of my concerns. I had a lengthy relationship with the pain center there and prior to him there were several departures of other providers. He picked up where they left off and did a thorough review of me and my concerns, listened very carefully, was very analytical about suggestions that he made, it would make. It was great to have a fresh pair of eyes who really listened. I liked him a lot.

Dr. Ang is one of the most personable and knowledgeable doctors I have met in the two years I have been dealing with back and leg pain. He explains things carefully and answers all of my questions. He is also willing to guide me about next steps which has been invaluable.

I have just started this pain management treatment at the Osher Center. I had my first injections in my lower back with Dr. Ang in early January. He was very attentive and knowledgable about the procedure. This was my second appointment. It was very disappointing. He did not know my chart, my history or my back issue. He seemed to not remember me or to have not spent any time reviewing my patient file. He also seemed very dismissive and uninterested in my questions with treatment moving forward. I have a follow up appointment with him in April and I will determine if I continue treatment with him moving forard after that.

The provider had two fellows with him. Although the provider corrected the main fellow, I was a bit uncomfortable with the fellow doing a majority of the procedure (needle placement) because he was having a little bit of a problem. The provider spoke quietly (whispered) to the second fellow while the other fellow was prepping me for the procedure; that made me feel very uncomfortable. Once the procedure was over, the provider and the fellows left the room. I would have liked an opportunity to speak to the provider before he left.
