Dr. Samia Mora is a cardiovascular medicine specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS).

She completed an internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and a cardiovascular disease fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease and echocardiography, and is a fellow of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography. She also serves on the editorial board of JAMA Internal Medicine.

The author of over 90 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Mora’s research focuses on risk factors and prevention of cardiovascular disease. She is actively involved with several randomized clinical trials and observational studies, and currently serves as the director of Core Biomarker Studied in the VITAminD and OmegA-3 Trial (VITAL). Most recently, she examined the association of novel lipid biomarkers and the development of cardiovascular disease in patients taking statins.
