About Sam Sadigh

Dr. Sam Sadigh is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School, and serves as Program Director of the Mass General Brigham Hematopathology fellowship. He is a board-certified hematopathologist, specializing in the diagnosis of hematologic malignancies and various bone marrow and lymph node disorders. He works closely with hematologist-oncologists, molecular pathologists, and cytogeneticists to provide patients with accurate and timely diagnostic care. He completed his medical education at the Medical College of Virginia (VCU), Pathology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and Hematopathology fellowship training at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He then joined the hematopathology faculty at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

His academic interests include characterizing rare and unusual forms of leukemias and lymphomas and identification of biomarkers of diagnostic or prognostic utility. He has a particular research focus on skin manifestations of myeloid malignancies, cutaneous lymphomas, and plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasms. Dr. Sadigh is passionate about Pathology education and training the next generation of pathologists; in addition to his role in the MGB Hematopathology fellowship, he has served on the Education Committee of the Society for Hematopathology, directed a course at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, and is actively involved in the education of medical students, pathology residents and fellows. He has been recognized with the William Pepper Fellowship Award (UPenn), Horatio T. Enterline Surgical Pathology Award (UPenn), Pier F. Paci Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching (BWH), and the BWH Professionalism Award.
