Dr. Vasan is always thorough with his exams and questions and concerns that I may have. My wife and I are grateful to have him as our ophthalmologist. I have and will continue to refer him to my family and friends.

Dr. Vasan was kind, well informed and understood my health issues. He gave me a list of interventions to try.....both non-invasive medication free options to some that did incorporate use of medications.

Dr. Vasan has consistently provided the best possible medical care for what has been, at times, a complicated medical situation. He has also provided detailed information on what will occur during procedures, options when available and their pros and cons, what is likely after the procedures, visual images on the screen of my eye (e.g., test results) and other illustrations which have been very helpful. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so because he is a caring and skilled medical professional.

I have been seeing Dr. Vasan for a few years now and he is the best doctor! He's very knowledgeable, a good listener, great at explaining what he sees, and just a very pleasant guy to talk to.

Dr Vasan is an expert in treating cataracts. He explains how the surgery works and the different types of lenses and what the procedure entails. He is pleasant, friendly and I feel very confident about the surgeries.

My primary language is Spanish and the fact that Dr Vasan speaks Spanish fluently is a plus! I appreciated him speaking and listening to my concerns in Spanish. He is a professional and caring Doctor.

My appointment scheduled a year in advance was cancelled by the provider and they rescheduled to a time not as convenient to me (very busy season), with no other alternative unless a month or so later. My (routine) appointment took close to two hours. I arrived on time, was seeing almost 30 minutes later for basic exams and almost 1 1/2 hours later from the time arrived by the provider. He is excellent but I think there are too many patients to be seeing n a timely manner. Taking almost two hours for a routine exam in the middle of a busy afternoon, not counting commute time, is very costly to me, or anyone, unless if they are retired, or scheduled they're appointment at a better time, which I originally did, before receiving a cancellation by the provider several months later.

Dr. Vasan is always friendly, patient, thorough, and kind. Answers all questions and spends as much time as needed to explain procedures and results.

I have been seeing Dr. Vasan for a while now, he is one of three doctors I see at ME&E in Stoneham. Each one is top notch at what they do, each is extremely knowledgable and explains my eye problems so that I can understand. They are patient, caring and very professional.

I had had cataract surgery on [redacted] and a few weeks later, I experienced side effect that was listed as a side effect or problem on the paperwork that was received for my postop instructions. I[redacted] Got an appointment for me that same day to see Dr. Vasan, although he was not my ophthalmologist surgeon. He was very, very helpful and getting me that appointment and seeing me in such short notice and ease my mind as it was, everything was quite OK and nothing to worry about wonderful man very warm and considerate and very informative. Dr. Vasan is a wonderful doctor. He did my cataract surgery last year and am in the process of scheduling my second eye in the next couple of months. He is very kind, and patient even though he's extremely busy. He's been a great resource to me providing information and physicians to help with other health issues.

My overall experience was great

The wait to see Dr Vasan is always at least 45 min -1 hour. Last year it was over an hour. For the working population almost 3 hours out of the office is ridiculous. 1 hour commuting back and forth, 1 hour for all the tests which are important, but then to be waiting in the waiting room for another hour to see Dr Vasan is unacceptable. There should be an office manager overseeing the patient flow. Otherwise all the techs are terrific.

Dr Vasan has always shown me his exceptional experience as my ophthalmologist. He take time to explain my test results and if I need to have any further Testing. He is so articulate with his care for me as his patient.

I have Dr. Vasan. I see him once a year for my checkup. He is a loving, kind, caring person. He really takes good care of his patients. This was my first appointment with MA Eye and Ear but Dr. Vasan has been my daughter's opthamologist for sereral years. [redacted] It was evideent that Dr. Vasan read through my medical history. He spent a considrrable amount of time explaining results of my testing. He patiently answered every question I had and explained what his role would be as my opthamologist moving forward. Dr. Vasan is incredible and I feel extremely fortunate to have him as my opthamologist.

Dr. Vasan has always explained everything about the condition of my eyes. Long before I saw Dr. Vasan, I had shingles in my left eye. I must've see four or five other doctors in another practice who never completely explained the ongoing problems. The doctor was very competent and caring

The Dr was very professional, asked a lot of questions to understand my problems, made recommendations for what had to be done, advised me to see my regular Dr. along with instructions for further care. He also booked another appointment as a follow up to check my progress.

The one question I did forget to ask because I specifically came about cataracts and my yearly exam, one of the medications I'm taking called Prazosin or MiniPress causes complications if you have cataract surgery and the provider didn't notice that I'm taking that and probably should have and did not. And it is something to be noted unless he's not aware of the real complications you can have, which I would hope that he is if he's the expert. So I was disappointed that he didn't pick up on that and just bring it to my attention.

I called for an unscheduled appointment due to an issue with my eye that troubled me very much. Dr. Vasan was able to squeeze me into his very busy schedule which I appreciated very much. From day one to the end of my cataract experience surgery exerting went well

Dr. Vasan is a caring, articulate, and thorough doctor, and my respect for him is probably the only thing keeping me from seeking out another practice. The wait times in Stoneham are usually long, but on this particular visit, my chart was misplaced and I watched new patients come and go before I was seen. Per the request of the practice I arrived 15 minutes early, about10:15 AM. I don't know which staff member mis-directed my paperwork, but I believe it was after 11:10 before I was first seen for testing and dilation. Subsequently, the waiting room all but emptied out, and it was nearly 1PM before I concluded my visit, finally, with Dr. Vasan's consultation. When the staff realized I had been overlooked they were very apologetic, and although Dr. Vasan was, as always , very patient and thorough, my own annoyance and ire made me so anxious to get out, that I neglected to ask a question I had for him. If my next visit is anything like this one, you will have seen the last of me. Overbooking? Understaffing?
