About Robert Joseph McCunney

Dr. Robert Joseph McCunney is a physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). He is also a part-time instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School.

He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College). Dr. McCunney’s clinical research focuses on illnesses associated with occupational and environmental hazards, primarily focusing on lung disease. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications, has edited four textbooks, and has served as a peer reviewer for several publications in occupational and environmental medicine. He is the recipient of both the Health Achievement Award and the Presidential Award from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
