My appointment with Dr Lewis had to be one of the most satisfactory physicians appointments that I have experienced in my [redacted] year old experience with a medical provider, and I consider myself a much experienced and critical patient . I found it astonishing that such an accomplished physician could be as personal , compassionate and thoughtful as he was with me . Dr Lewis is truly the best of the best and I consider myself very fortunate to have him as my physician for a very concerning medical problem .

The appointment was at a timely period and immediately entered into the testing area, which was done in a professional manner. That's it.

He took a careful history, listened to my concerns, did a careful exam, and came up with much clearer, more useful recommendations for understanding the symptoms of dizziness I came for than have any prior providers. Having performed these tests on many patients in Ct where I was working prior to retirement, I knew what I was in for. The only thing I can suggest time and process was extremely fast for someone with vestibular issues. I spent more time with the patient's and moved at a slower pace for the patient. But when all is said and done, it was a "pleasant" experience, if one can actually say that for this kind of testing. :)

Dr. Lewis listens to you, never makes you feel rushed, responds to your needs, and quietly follows through. Due to his deep knowledge of his field, my Vestibular problems are under good control. My life is much closer to "normal, ". Which is most welcome.

Dr. Richard Lewis first assessed my progress, then presented next steps taking fully into account that progress and recommending staying the course with all my activities and when the time was appropriate revisit the option to enroll in a study for BVD by dedicating time for the study or if by then approval from the FDA, treatment. All this in the context of a complete review of that study and its potential benefits. Dr. Lewis shared his research, profound experience, and knowledge in a way that was delivered as if a father to his son.

Dr Lewis is the kindest neurologist and always tries to help with a condition that is rare and has no cure. Most of it was not uncomfortable, but at the last station, hot water was forced into my ears and it was very uncomfortable however, I realize it's obviously was necessary to evaluate my potential therapy.
