From my first visit to the last visit, I have no negative things to complain about. Other than to congratulate this care provider and say a big thank you for their attention and understanding towards me.

I feel very comfortable and confident in Dr. Huckfeldt as a provider. She spends all the time that my husband and I need to answer our questions and provide information about my condition. I have a rare disease and I feel very lucky to have this team on my side. I have also been impressed with the two Fellows that have been working with the doctor.

Dr. Huckfeldt and her care team showed exemplary care, patient care, as they always do. Dr. Huckfeldt talked through all the results from the day and what her takeaways were, her key takeaways were, and explained everything in depth. She sat down with me and my parents, as she always does, and provides the highest quality of description within everything that there is to discuss. She is incredible. I can't say enough great things about her. And I hope that every patient with my condition, with RP, has the opportunity to meet a care team and to me a provider with Dr. Huckfeldt .

Dr. HUCKFELDT IS A GREAT DOCTOR in every way.

Dr Huckfeldt confirmed my diagnosis of a genetic retinal disorder during this visit. She was thorough and thoughtful and provided information in a clear and concise manner. My two adult children accompanied me to this visit. My son may also have a vision issue related to my disorder. Dr.Huckfeldt included him in the discussion regarding the genetic factor and actually reviewed my sons record from his previous provider (by first obtaining his consent). I was very appreciative of her approach to both of us as she provided my son with valuable information moving forward, and as his mother, I want him to receive the best care and guidance possible. A genetics disorder is not just the individual but also about the family, and Dr Huckfeldt definitely supported that idea during this visit.

The technician and the two doctors were incredibly helpful, clear, and patient. There was never a sense that they were pressed for time; they took the time needed for all tests and explanations. Expertise obvious.

I found that the information that doctor gave to the system was more thorough than what she said to me, and I liked reading that.

Once again, my visit was very, very good, and Mass Eye and Ear has been very, very good to me through the 31 years I've been coming to see either Dr. [redacted] or Dr. Huckfeldt. I really can't say enough how comfortable they make me feel, and unfortunately, there's no cure for my retinitis pigmentosa, but they also have given me some sort of hope that maybe in my lifetime I might be able to have a procedure that would stop this awful, awful eye disease. My daughter has been coming to this office since 2003, only seeing Dr. [redacted] and Dr. Huckfeldt . She shows genuine care, concern and knowledge of a horrible eye disease that my daughter has. What the best plan is for her, I always feel I can call with any questions. And I love that she will contact [redacted]'s other eye doctors to make sure everyone is on the same page!

From the initial visit before testing till my post testing consultation Dr Huckfeldt was very thorough thru every aspect from introducing associates anf given full and complete explanation of test results

Yes, I've been seeing Dr. Huckfeldt for a number of years. I absolutely recommend her to anyone with Usher syndrome or retinitis pigmentosa. She's very understanding and always puts the patient's interests first before anything else.

She listened to my concerns and suggested simple things I can do to maintain my eyesight. She also helped me adjust my expectations about the likely progression of my eye disease.

Dr. Rachel Huckfeldt is an amazing care provider. She was thorough, listened carefully, and answered all my questions. She was respectful, patient, and very kind. It was obvious that she is a brilliant person who is extremely knowledgeable about unique vision challenges yet she is very, very humble. I traveled 5 hours to see her and would have traveled many more! I am very fortunate to have been referred to her for an evaluation. She is by far the best eye specialist I have ever seen!

Doctor Huckfeldt was amazing. She was very humble. She was also really descriptive. Since I am blind and couldn't see my eyes pictures on the monitor, she explained them to me in an easy way so that I could understand.

Everything was great, mostly cause I was told my retinas were pretty healthy. It was my fault, I didn't press to find out what was causing my symptoms. I think I got an we don't know why I was having periodic black spots at night. I wish I had asked more questions, my fault, otherwise I left relieved .

Dr. Huckfeldt and her colleagues were great. My one concern or annoyance was that they, somewhere, I don't know who was responsible, someone kept losing my information. So I did the whole intake form online before I got there, and then I had to talk through the whole thing again with Dr. Huckfeldt, and then I walked to the next room and had to talk through it all again with her assistant. So somehow information is getting processed, and that's pretty annoying. I sent my records in long before the appointment. They were lost. I emailed them over again. They didn't know where they were. I emailed them over a third time and it looks like that one was the charm. So I don't know if it has to do with them or your record keeping communications computer systems, but that was super annoying. But I don't want that to detract too much from the staff I work with.

Dr. Huckfeldt and team (lab personnel, office staff, genetic counseling team) are absolutely first rate!

I is it the IRD Lab every 2 yrs for last 20 yrs and it has always been a top notch experience from every doctor, technician, fellow, secretary and anyone in the building, especially on the elevator or in cafeteria that offers guidance and or support. I have never ever felt rushed or not heard and I appreciate and respect all the good work everybody does at MEEI

It was only concerned with retina tests and not anything to do with practical management questions regarding my blindness.

This was my first visit to Dr. Huckfeldt. Her professionalism, knowledge of my retina situation, and collegial relations with my other (off-site) eye doctors made me feel much more comfortable that my situation will be followed up seriously, even though the final diagmosis is not known. She was patient and helpful with my questions.

She was very, very helpful with her explanation of my condition and go forward situation. Also her assistant (also a Dr, I believe) was clear in what he was asked to explain. I was extremely pleased with the information both provided and my situation and particularly please with intentions to follow-up should there be discoveries in the future that could help me overcome my low vision condition.
