Pranay Prabhakar, MD

Dr. Prabhakar took the time to listen to my concerns and then explain my heart health risks. He reasurred me that I'm in good health but also explained a few things I should do to keep it that way. I appreciate his patience with me and the reasurrance he gave me.

Dr. Prabhakar is always very respectful, patient, kind, thorough. The Salem office personnel are the same. Thank you.

He seemed genuinely caring, and very knowledgeable. He went over all of my test results with me, which was very helpful. The only slight negative is that I did not necessarily get all of my questions answered.

He thoroughly interrogated me about the event that sent me to him (he types incredibley fast). He knew my case in detail. He was very good. He also took time to explain. As good as he was, medicne is now an industry and that makes me sad. maybe that is that best (most efficient) delivery system. Still, it isbecoming depersonalized.

This is the second time that I've seen this provider. I forget how to pronounce his name, but he's been really comforting and listens to everything that I have to say and gives me great input at the same time, lets me take control of my care, which is really great. So he's really beneficial to this practice.

Dr P was wonderful-took time to explain my heart event monitor results, and I felt like we worked together going over my cardiac history and the future treatments. The nurse was very nice and gave me a good recommendation of Aquaphor for the rash I developed from the event monitor's adhesive.

Half of these questions are irrelevant. I had very little conversation with the nurse. The Doctor was very direct and discussed y options. As a patient, I want all the information put in front of me so I can make a decision that's best for me

The doctor was very knowledgeable and respectful. He answered questions and we didn't feel rushed. The only negative about the visit was that the doctor spoke to the caregiver rather than the patient. The patient suffered a stroke, which has impacted their ability to express themselves how they would like. There are also some memory issues. The doctor did not direct questions to the patient giving them a chance to respond. He directed them to the caregiver, which wasn't respectful. The patient should be spoken to directly and if the patient needs assistance expressing themselves or answering a question, then they can ask their caregiver for assistance. Direct communication with the patient should be the default and it didn't seem the case during this visit.

The cardiologist treated me very well. Even though we used an interpreter, he listened to me, was patient, and asked several questions about my symptoms. The only thing, I think, that could be improved, or more than anything, was my perception, I think, because of the interpreter, is that I felt he got a little desperate at the end. I don't know if it was because of the symptoms I was telling him about, or because of the length of time we were talking with the interpreter. [redacted]

The doctor examined me extremely well. More so than my PCP. I felt comfortable and relieved after the exam. He was excellent with the computer system. This doctor was very knowledgeable and explained my echocardiogram test results in great detail and in an understandable way. He also was up to speed on my other medical conditions and any heart implications. He spent a lot of time with me.

I met this Dr while in the emerg rm at SH. He was very helpful then and I was very pleased with my visit to his office last week. He answered my questions and seemed very committed to his patient. I look forward to seeing him again in a few months. My condition is new and I have many questions.

Dr Prabhakar was very helpful in explaining my echocardiogram from last October. He took time to discuss my systolic hypertension and additional steps to reduce my hypertension. He also listened to my thoughts on possibility of amyloidosis and ordered lab work to rule it out as causing any cardiovascular effect. He was very easy to talk to and discuss my cardiac health.
