"Great visit with Dr Novak. Professional and helpful." I'm thankful for Dr Novak time as always.

I have always had a very good experience with Dr. Novak. He's very attentive to my condition and has always been compassionate and thorough on what we're trying to do. It's a condition that's difficult to isolate and my only concern is that it's just because of the volume of patients that he sees, that it's just difficult to get in to see him as often as I would like to. But I just attribute that to the quality of care that he provides to myself and to others.

Dr Novak is seeking to understand what underlies my dysautonomia, which I appreciate as a patient

My appointment visit started a bit late, so I did not have the full amount of time with this provider that I was supposed to. It was supposed to be an hour-long intake appointment, and my appointment was around 45 minutes or less. And I was kind of sent away a bit early before the visit was even supposed to end, and it felt very rushed and disorganized, even though I tried to get most of my questions answered.

Dr. Novak was thorough in his questioning about how I had been doing since my last video visit. He has a patient and pleasant demeanor. I have confidence in his medical knowledge about my condition.

Dr. Novak is an expert on autonomic nervous system disorders and has been my specialist for years. He is the best in this area in these disorders. Hence, when suddenly developing Night Sweats / day sweats with a UTI, I contacted his office to see if I could see him earlier than scheduled for his opinion. A patient had just cancelled an appointment that day, so I was able to take that appointment. He was excellent !

So Dr. Novak is truly amazing. I really appreciate that his knowledge and experience. He really took the time to address all my issues and concerns and he ordered many tests in order to help figure out what are some areas we need to focus on as far as my care in the future. So I would say he's an amazing, absolutely excellent provider. Thank you.

Dr. Novak is one of the best. He knew my case, he listened listened to my concerns and came back with an action plan. He's empathetic and diligent. He ordered two referrals this year and entered the orders right away with a specific doctor in mind.

Such a brilliant doctor, extremely so, I respect him greatly and am quite fond of him. If I could offer one suggestion, it would be that for me, communication with him both topically and literally is the one area of difficulty. The subject matter is high level, I have a series of rare disorders with complex symptoms overlapping, and the doctor's lovely rich accent adds a bit of difficulty to an already tough discussion. Perhaps a bit more clarity from him re his specific expertise's questions would assist, a bit more clarity re what he's looking for, as well as a bit of slower speech itself (which may assist as I make good faith efforts to discern what he is saying through his lovely rich accent). For example, I may say: "My legs feel x" - yet what "x" represents to my mitochondrial specialist vs my immunologist may be interpreted in alarmingly different manner. More clarity re the exacts of what he's asking would help me describe symptoms/issues more approptiately/precisely for him. Simply a suggestion. I'll end with this: I feel very fortunate that he's my doctor.

My daughter is very complex. We chronically ill, and it's a lot of rare things that people are still struggling to kind of get a grasp on what's wrong with her. And a lot of times, instead of digging deep or trying to listen, they just automatically tell us that we're crazy, that we have Munchausen's that she is, uh, must be ridiculous. But when we locked in, Dr. Novak had read her records thoroughly. seemed to know everything about her despite not meeting us. And she has a lot of records. He had some great ideas, even though he doesn't know if he is the one who can help her and if he even thinks it's his topic. But he was still willing to help and listen and do everything he can. And we're so appreciative.

Dr. Novak is one of the most competent autonomic neurologists in the world. I read the literature and I am aware of his contributions to the field of autonomic neurology. I travel from out of state every year just to see him. He recognizes rarer types of autonomic dysfunction, which can often be missed (or dismissed) by other physicians, including autonomic neurologists. He is willing to collaborate with other physicians in other states to ensure that his patients' care is optimized. You are lucky to have him as faculty and as a healthcare provider at B&W
