I am a physician and have been seeing Dr. O'Gara for over 15 years. He cares for my brother too. He is an incredible doctor. He is comprehensive, extremely knowledgeable, caring, thoughtful, and accessible. I consider myself very fortunate to have him as my cardiologist.

I've been seeing Dr. O'Gara for 16 years. He is one of the best cardiologists in the country. Anybody that has him knows that they have one of the best doctors in the country. The doctor called me after my appointment to fully explain the results and necessary changes in my medication. He had to contact me twice to get through. I was impressed.

Dr. O'gara was an excellent visit. He did talk about some cholesterol tests that I should have for my blood. He thought I should probably have them done up in Maine. I realized after the fact, after I left, he probably could have ordered them. That way he would have had direct access and they would get underway. So I wish that he had ordered the blood tests to be done by him instead of someone else.

He has a fantastic bedside manner and takes the most complicated of topics and breaks them down so that the technical matters are easy to understand. Understandably, he is in very demand, but he has a way of never seeming to be rushed. He remembers incredible details and facts from prior conversations that make me feel that he cares about me as a patient. It is extraordinary. I also feel that he is with me on my health journey and while he holds me accountable, I never feel judged, but motivated. Dr. O'Gara is great . My only complaint is that I had to be squeesed in between other patients and couldn't get all of my questions answered so I left with the answers not understandable. I understand there is just so many hours in the doctors day however if I leave unhappy maybe the doctor's printed results of the time with him would fill the gap.

My commute took 3 hrs for a normal 2hr trip. I was 30 minutes late and Dr OGara took the time to see me and is highly appreciated.

Recently there appears to be a great deal of stress among the providers and a great deal of confusion in the Watkins Clinic.

Dr O'Gara is an amazing cardiologist to have as a provider. He listens carefully and invites my questions . He always attempts to answer them. It appears important to him that I am receiving the care I need. If needed for additional information, he will order tests , labs or make referrals where appropriate . I am very grateful for his expertise and feel confident in his cardiac care. My only complaint with this last visit is that the appointment time allotted was too short. We usually have time to look at my echocardiogram pictures and it gives me more time to get my questions formulated and answered. I travel a long distance to get this care.
