Dr. Sharma specializes in dystonic movement disorders. She is a member of the Mass General Brigham Neurology Movement Disorders Center and practices at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. As attending neurologist on the consultation service, Dr. Sharma supervises neurology residents and Harvard Medical School students. She also serves as an individual career mentor for the Mass General Brigham Neurology Residency Program serving Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Sharma is active in clinical research on dystonia and Parkinson's disease. She is widely published and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for the New England Journal of Medicine, Neurology, Movement Disorders, American Journal of Pathology, and Acta Neuropathologica. After graduating from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a doctorate of medicine and a doctorate of philosophy in neuroscience, Dr. Sharma trained at Evanston Hospital in Evanston Illinois in internal medicine and at Yale University in neurology. She completed a fellowship in movement disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital, in Boston. Dr. Sharma is board certified in neurology. She consults for pediatric movement disorders at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and the Mass General for Children, both in Boston.

Although I only see her a couple of times a year, she is always fully informed and aware of my condition and concerns, past and present. I feel that I can ask her anything and she always responds in a candid manner. Finally, she is a fine doctor and caring practitioner. How lucky I am to be her patient!

Dr. Nutan Sharma is an excellent, brilliant, caring, kind, and thorough neurologist that I have been seeing every 12 weeks for the last 21 years for my treatment of Botox 18 injections at this point, 400 units for my dystonia. I couldn't ask for any better doctor.

Dr Sharma is very thorough, knowledgeable and kind to me. Anomalous diagnoses tend to be characteristically challenging to treat yet she always greets me in a positive, warm, kind, and supportive manner. This was my first visit with Dr. Nutan Sharma and I was happy to find a kind, compassionate, and very thorough Neurologist who listened to my concerns. She came up with an encouraging strategy for treating my Cervical Dystonia. This leaves me quite hopeful after 3 years of unsuccessful treatments at another medical facility.

Prior to seeing Dr Sharma I saw Dr [redacted] He was cold, uncaring and at times outright rude. Dr Sharma is the exact opposite. She always smiles. She is interested in me and not just to stick a needle in my arm. Dr Sharma is the best of the best. She is explemplary.

The doctor is highly professional, very cheerful, well-informed, confident, and able to cut through a lot of the clutter and the clouds of, cluttering clouds of data and other medical terms for people who aren't doctors. I find her to be top notch at what she does and I would not hesitate to endorse her, recommend her to my friends should they need to see her. She also, I should add, is encouraging in her evaluations and in talking about what policy or what course of action we might follow. Very encouraging and the overall sensation was fabulous. My wife was with me and was there to offer the same kind of appreciation.
