Thorough, empathetic, involved, effective communicator, excellent "bedside" manner. This was my first visit with him as my new PCP.... very happy with the choice :)

Thank you Dr. Sharma for listening to, and emphasizing the important of one's mental and physical wellbeing! Healthcare can become so rushed at times that the quality of services is diminished, however, you modeled otherwise. Thank you and I look forward to continuing our rapport!

I spent a long time without medical care, in part because of traumatic experiences with providers many years ago. It is still not easy for me to engage with the medical system. I know that Dr. Sharma has a lot of patients and must be juggling a lot at any given time, but he does a tremendous job of projecting genuine care and attention when in the room. I have not once felt threatened, dismissed, or condescended to in his presence (which has not been my experience historically). He is always so careful to explain what he is doing, to warn or ask before touching my body even in pretty innocuous tests. He and his team at the office have done a pretty good job of helping me connect with specialists, even if the timelines aren't always the best (not the fault of the office, I know this is just how the system is). He actually seems concerned about things relevant to the issues I bring up, and doesn't dismiss my concerns or focus on perceptions about my body that are unrelated to the actual problems I'm having. Whether or not this is true, it really feels like he is more concerned about me functioning well and being all right than about me fitting into some idealized version of perfect health. I can't overstate enough how much of a relief this attitude is. I am so used to just kind of... dealing with things on my own, and I'm still getting used to the idea that I might actually be able to get help if I become sick or injured. This is something that has felt almost impossible in the past, and the fact that I am starting to believe it really might be possible again owes a lot to Dr. Sharma.
