This was my first appointment with Dr. Kim and I found her to be excellent. My appointment was changed from an in person to a virtual appointment at the last minute to accommodate a snow storm. I provided documents I was going to bring to my previously scheduled in person appointment via the MGH portal. On short notice, Dr. Kim managed to review my documents and provide very helpful insights into my condition and needs based upon her review. She asked me very logical questions as part of her assessment process. She helped me better understand my condition, and her information was shared in a manner that was very clear. She provided a very thoughtful plan for further evaluation and explained the rationale for the tests. I greatly appreciate her attention to detail, it was very reassuring. Throughout the appointment I felt listened to and very much part of a conversation of my health. I look forward to my future appointments with Dr. Kim and feel very confident with her care.

Yeah, Dr. Kim is always very thorough. And then I explained that I was going to have a hernia operation, both an umbilical and a distasis. So we discussed what mesh looks like, not her expertise, but she said that it would be very good to get a second opinion, which she helped me find another physician at Mass General to get a second opinion on something. which was above and beyond and just talking through some of the different concerns.

Dr. Kim's manner was not very warm or friendly, nor did she acknowledge the awkwardness and pain associated with the procedure she performed (cystoscopy). She seemed confused as to why I was there (she assumed I had already been recommended for surgery by other providers in the practice, which was not the case). She seemed unaware that I had had an ultrasound showing an enlarged prostate which was why I was there in the first place, until I pointed it out to her.

Dr. Kim was excellent. She listened carefully and explained my various options along with the pros and cons of each possible approach.

I felt very relieved and happy to have the good care of Dr. Michelle Kim. I was immediately comfortable with her. The communication was direct, simple, clear, friendly, and professional. And I asked if I could please keep her as my doctor because I've been looking for a new neurologist, and she is here. very good.
