About Michal Ganz

Dr. Michal Ganz is excited to return home to Western Massachusetts to the community where she grew up and graduated from the Amherst school system (elementary through high school). Dr. Ganz completed her undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where was elected to Phi Beta Kappa as a junior. She earned a Masters Degree in Toxicology from MIT prior to completing medical school at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed an internal medicine residency research pathway at UMass in which she studied the immune and inflammatory pathways of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. She had numerous publications and won numerous awards for her work. Dr. Ganz then completed her gastroenterology fellowship at Brown University where she also had a special focus on women’s health. She treats all aspects of GI and liver disease.
