Doctor Nelson was so welcoming, understanding. Unselfish with his time, he so went out of his way to be helpful. My experience could not have been better.

He is a wonderful person and a very competent physician. We would be lucky to have primary care physicians like him in an era where everybody becomes a concierge physician. Dr. Nelson is an example of bedside manners, respect and collegiality towards the MGH colleagues who also are his patients, and a model of knowledgeable physician who offers expert advice while listening to the patient's preferences. The Department should do everything possible to keep him at MGH.

He can explain, in clear terms, what the most important developments are likely to be. There is a sense of confidence in one's overall care that a primary care physician can provide and he does so very well.

Dr. Nelson is kind, caring, professional and knowledgeable. I have seen him before, 2 years ago, for a pneumonia diagnosis. At that time, it was his referral to allergists for testing which confirmed I am not allergic to penicillin, although I have understood I was since childhood. During this visit, he listened, and prescribed treatment for the reason I made the appointment. I greatly respect & appreciate his knowledge and professionalism as a wonderful physician.

He has taken the necessary time to listen to my questions and discuss things thoroughly. The visits have not been rushed through, and he has conducted the physical exams in detail. Dr. Nelson also has a very good personality. Overall, I feel thankful to have him as my PCP.
