While respectful and responsive, had an aloof bedside manner and seemed a bit under pressure or his face was stern. If I was not a confident person, I might have felt intimidated. Likely just his natural state but considering I experienced minor hearing loss I was looking for a more caring approach.

My situation was not a complicated one however I felt very comfortable with what Dr. Russell had to say and his thorough exam.

Dr. Russell was very well informed, good-natured. He spent a lot of time discussing my situation and options with me, ordered some imaging and plans to follow up. So I think he did a good job. He said if I did need to have a surgical procedure in the end, in my particular case, he would refer me to a colleague. That was my only concern.

The doctor was very good at explaining my condition. I saw him prior to my hearing test and he made himself available again after the test to discuss the results. He recommended a treatment plan that he thought would improve my condition and said to follow for a month. He then scheduled a follow up in a month to see if it was working and if not, explained the next course of action. He listened to my concerns and answered all my questions.
