Dr Matthew Smith has known me since 1998. He has helped prolong my life. I explained that my care at Moffitt Cancer Ctr was becoming less desirable as the months passed. I needed Dr Smith's opinion on what was happening with my body. According to the X-rays he didn't see any changes from four years ago.

My plan was to choose active surveillance for my prostate cancer. I didn't realize that my condition was worse than I expected until Dr. Smith explained it to me. Based on his recommendation not to delay treatment I have chosen to have radiation treatments.

Nurse only took weight and bp, so not a lot of dialog. The office (and doctor) know that I can tell good blood test results, so not a lot of dialog/follow-up needed there either.

I think Dr. Smith is one of the leading researchers in the field, but I mostly appreciate that he's very empathetic and a very strong communicator.
