Dr. Avram is the best. He treated my acne scars years ago and it was so exciting to return for a visit so he can see how much better they look. He was my first dermatologist and my original inspiration for going into derm! Can't wait to get my CO2 laser next. I am about to be as smooth as a newborn dolphin.

Overall my provider was very professional, friendly, and knowledgable. However, I think the office could've provide more detailed pre- and post- procedure care instructions to the patients, especially how important they are for this type of treatment. General guidance were given by the doctor verbally (like no sun in the next week) and included in the clinical notes, but it'd be much helpful if a comprehensive care instruction was provided in written.

Very knowledgeable about the lasers. Would like to have specific instructions about how to care for the area treated.

So far, I'm very happy with the results and the experience that I had. My only comment is the numbing cream just does not seem to work for me. I'm hoping that someday you can find something that's a little bit stronger. It was very, very painful. But, you know, I could see that you could tell I was in pain.

Dr Avram knew enough about lasers and explained them to me, but he seemed in a rush. When I asked questions about how the laser and cortisone shots would affect my lower lip he acted very impatient and he snapped "you asked that question three times". I was really shocked that a doctor would respond that way. He was very rude and disrespectful. Then after that moment, the rest of the appointment he wasnt interested in treating me. I don't have any idea why, so I found it both puzzling and hurtful. [redacted] I don't have dementia, but regardless of someone's condition they should be treated with respect and dignity. [redacted] Kindness is key in patient-doctor relations, and Dr. Avram failed.

I was pleased with my visit with Dr. Avram.He listened to my request for treatment and provided an honest opinion.He answered my questions and I decided to take his advise and not seek further opinions.

The provider did not know when I last received my care, even though I had received it with them. They did not seem to know about my case and they didn't have copies of previous paperwork I had brought in.

This was the complete opposite experience of what I would have expected. It was apparent that this doctor had much better things to do. [redacted] he would have spent less than 3 minutes with me had I not asked questions. Did not introduce himself when walking in, assumed what I was looking for instead of asking. Overall super disappointing from a doctor that came highly recommended to me.

I absolutely trust Dr. Avram with his opinion, his judgment. I know he would never steer me wrong and I know he would never hurt me and always do an amazing job.

Dr. A. obviously very knowledgeable, and put me at ease concerning the procedure I was going to have - my first). Deft with laser and very efficient. One week later, the procedure seems to be doing as promised. My one thought about possibly improvement: if possible, slow down a little, and maybe find out a little more about the patient. Ask why he/she wants the procedure, since it's elective. Etc. I appreciated how quickly the decision was made to shift from consultation to actual treatment, which saved me having to come in for a second session. But wish in some ways things could just slow down a little - not just in this practice , but in almost every practice I visit at MGH. The care and expertise of physicians at MGH is excellent, but I sense almost all doctors are under tremendous pressure to see patients and render opinions as quickly as possible. That said, I would not trade the quality of the health care I get at MGH for any other hospital.

Overall very good experience with nurse, fellow, and doctor. I look forward to my next appointment.

The procedure is quick. Given the doctor had not seen me in the last, I think it would have been good to consult with me about what my skin concerns and goals were. He shared his prior experience which was helpful and politely introduce the interns/ students in the room. He also made sure to ask if I had questions although that was once treatment was underway.

The doctor didn't ask me anything about my skin and immediately started in on a huge explanation about my care options. He also came right in and started looking at my skin up close without much of an introduction which was kind of uncomfortable and made me feel like I was a thing to assess rather than a patient. I also felt like the explanation of things was explained without any pauses for me to ask questions. With that, it felt I was being rushed through everything. [redacted]
