The process of obtaining a referral is annoying. The service this office uses to approve referrals has no knowledge of the medical circumstances and barely speaks English. I felt really bad having to ask them to repeat themselves so often. They didn't process my referral because the shift was ending and promised to call me back on the next business day and they never did. Communication is unnecessarily awkward and unproductive. Very frustrating. Now I have a bill that I should not have gotten because the referral never went through and I have the additional frustration of having to straighten that out with people who have no medical knowledge or the ability to speak English. It should not be this difficult. Many other providers handle their own referrals.
