Dr Young has a good operation of checking on your eyes. She has residence that are very confident and she knows exactly what to look for when you have a problem.

I knew ahead of time that she is at the top of her field. Her attention to me, her professional demeanor, her knowledge about my retina concerns were evident to me as she responded to my questions. The only area of improvement I can think of is a better discussion (mostly in written form) of after care procedures. I think when you have a procedure done you are not necessarily the most clear thinking so having a piece of paper on do's and don't's post procedure would be helpful

I think Dr. Young is excellent, but this practice is very busy. If I come prepared with questions and/or there are no changes to discuss, I'm fine with the quick pace. This time the results involved an unwanted progression that takes time to digest. I am dealing with that now with Google Gemini. I don't expect a half-hour hand-holding with new news. But what's the right level of guidance for patients? If not in the meeting, what could be handled with a follow-up email or outreach? My questions? Was this sudden deterioration in AMD in one eye a non-predictive one-off, a sign that deterioration is now looming/rapidly progressing? Can I expect to be impaired, or blind, in 6 months, two years, five years? Do any of the treatments I see online make sense for me? What's ahead???

Dr. Young was unprepared to see me, seemed angry that I had not seen her in 2 years. Said this was the reason "her staff" did not order pictures of my eyes as is usual in such an appointment. Did not seem to understand that I have moved to Massachusetts PERMANENLY. Did not carefully read the report from my Retina Specialist doctor in [redacted]. Looked at the most recent photos that were taken there. I don't know whether she entered them into the computer or not. This entire experience was VERY upsetting to me. [redacted]

I was amazed at how everyone did a test or administered drops etc., and then the last step is when I got to see the doctor I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I moved through all the exams and tests and these were done by other medical staff so I didn't have to wait for the doctor to do all the above tests and then after all tests were done and results were ready to read or examine the doctor examined me and discussed what was my results were I loved how quickly everything went

She explained everything to me. She answered many questions for me in a discussion form, Not rapid response to my concerns. She spent extra time with me. She was in a pleasant mood. The fellow I saw before her was excellent. He was careful and slow with his exam. He was thorough.

My provider spoke to me, however, gave me no indication of what can be done or where I should go next or what would be the next thing to do. She just talked to me and basically ended the conversation. I don't know where I'm at. I don't know what to do. Goodbye.

I was wondering how can provide feedback after this experience. I was very worried about my eyes after the referral to retina specialist. I, infact postponed my trip to India because of this appointment. But Dr Young felt hurried and evening looked routine. There was an eye scan done. But she did not bring up the images taken at the location or the previous ones done at Dr [redacted]s office. Dr [redacted] did go thru the images earlier. I was expecting to her explain the abnormalities in the scan. Then I requested for the images thru document center. What is uploaded in the images from Dr [redacted] visit. But she was keen on booking the appointment for next year which she repeated couple of times. I thought I need to follow up more often, something like every three months or six months to ensure that the issues do not get worse. But I did not discuss that because I was thinking about finding another retina specialist [redacted]

Provider didn't seem to have enough info on my case, [redacted]. We traveled quite far to make this appt, was disappointed in results. She didn't explain anything about what would be the next step, or didn't explain what a shot in the eye would do. I think she could have taken a little time to establish rapport, as we waited a long enough time to see her.

Have been seeing Dr. Young for many, many years. She performed surgery on my retina and I see her every year for follow ups. I trust her completely to care for my eyes and I will continue to see her until either she retires or I no longer come up to spend summers in New Hampshire.

I ran into extreme traffic, so my usual 1 hour commute turned into a 2+ hour nightmare on a very hot summer day. I called ahead to warn them I would be late, but I could only leave a message on a recorded line. By the time I arrived, I was extremely late - over an hour past my appointment time. I would have fully understood if they cancelled and rescheduled it, but they didn't! I am extremely grateful that they took me in anyways - especially knowing that multiple people are involved in my care each time I have an appointment.
