Dr. Shinchuk has been the most wonderful, thoughtful, caring, professional I have seen in a very long time. I was very surprised and delighted by my experience with this physician.

Dr Shinchuk is a very compassionate, personable doctor and I appreciate him trying to help me. I feel like he overestimated the likelihood of the nerve ablation helping my pain and underestimated/disregarded the cost and time it would take to achieve it. [redacted] I want a more holistic approach so I have requested to go back to physical therapy and for medication that will help me ensure the pain in the interim. He disregarded acupuncture as a adjuvant/supplemental modality, despite it being offered at Spaulding when I asked. [redacted]

I was seen in a timely manner by this provider and right from the start I felt comfortable. He explained the findings of the MRI and proposed a course of action.

This was my first visit with Dr. Shinchuk. I saw him 2 days after my PCP recommended him. Dr Shinchuk knew why I was there, he had a full understanding of my medical history which is complex and set up x-rays and MRI tests. Very impressive in this environment. I look forward working with him.

Dr. Shinchuk diagnosed my spine problem which was missed by several other physicians. He knew immediately that my spine was infected when he looked at my MRIs. He ordered the appropriate labs and called me with the results. Dr. Shinchuk then advised I go immediately to the ED. While I remain in the hospital, I am very grateful to Dr. Shinchuk for his knowledge, expertise, caring and compassion. Thank you Dr. Shinchuk!

My only difficulty was in finding his office in that area. I'm not familiar with the shipyard, and so that was my biggest problem. Otherwise, everything else was good.

I felt comfortable, confident, and reassured about my condition. He was knowledgeable and friendly and I was not only satisfied but delighted to meet him and look forward to his expertise and experience in overcoming my present discomfort.

I have been a patient with Dr. Shinchuk for approximately 5 years as part of my MGH team dealing with arthritic hip pain. Dr. Shinchuk has been the consummate medical professional correctly diagnosing and using cortisone injections with a relatively high success rate in relieving pain and restoring my mobility. He has consistently been attentive, knowledgeable and responsive to my needs and I have the utmost confidence in the skills of him and his staff.

I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Shinchuk. When my daughter needed, went to him years ago when I went with her, and I asked him, you know, who would he go with his family? You know, if it's a family member, what surgeon would he use? We didn't know any surgeons. And he recommended someone. She came out fine. She, you know, the rod in her back was perfect. And then I got in trouble, and I went to him, and I found him very, very honest. And as much as I don't like to hear the truth, he was very honest with me. And with that, I think the world of him, because that's what I needed. So I am gonna continue my treatment with him. [redacted]

He then arranged, his office arranged for me to get an alternative MRI, a second one. They did so in a very timely fashion, even though it was clear that it was hard to do. This was my first experience with this service and this provider, and it was exceptional. The staff coming in was great, got me right to where I needed to see him. Everything was on time. He was attentive. He listened to what I had to say, ran tests, told me everything I needed to know about what was going on, and then sort of proved his assumptions through additional tests. So this was an incredible experience and very happy I have the service.

Dr. Shinchuk reviewed the MRI imaging results with me explaining where the herniation and dsic fragment were and how it was affecting my sciatic nerve. He was thorough in his examination of me and understood my urgency due to my pain and took the time to send the approval request to BCBS while I was with him to make sure it was received in the same business day.
