Dr. Lin is a board-certified academic pathologist with expertise in gynecologic and obstetric pathology practicing at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and served as chief resident at New York University Grossman School of Medicine, followed by a clinical fellowship in Women’s and Perinatal Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In his clinical practice, he leverages his former training in clinical obstetrics and gynecology to refine the diagnosis of complex cases. Before transitioning to a career in pathology, he completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, and worked as an attending physician for over five years with a focus on the care of patients with gestational trophoblastic disease. Dr. Lin's research aims to elucidate the pathogenesis and improve the diagnosis and prognostic markers of gynecologic neoplasms and obstetric complications. To achieve this goal, he utilizes a comprehensive approach that integrates histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and molecular features. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles in the fields of pathology, obstetrics, and gynecology. His research interests include gestational trophoblastic disease, endometriosis-associated neoplasia, teratomatous lesions of the gynecologic tract, and the role of placental pathology in pregnancy and perinatal outcomes.
