This doctor is a rarity in todays medical field ! She was extremely thorough, spent time with my mother, caring, interested in her welfare. She was also very knowledgeable. You do not find these qualities in 90% of these doctors any longer! I have been raving about this doctor since I took my mom to see her.

Dr. Elson is amazing. She is so patient and kind and caring about the patient, about you as a person. I cannot say enough remarkable things about her. Dr. Elson is very caring.

She was kind explaining what she Was going to do and when she was finished explained how much fluid she was able to remove and what she put in to help with the pain and the healing. I think she is great and her assistant that went over all the preliminary questions was great.

Dr. Elson is highly skilled, conscientious, and dedicated. Her bedside manner can seem a bit gruff, but has improved greatly over the years. (She can seem overly businesslike.) Dr. Elson provides the honest, straighforward input one needs in order to know what to expect, and understand what needs to be done.

Dr Elson diagnosed my knee pain where another orthopedic provider had failed. Her exam was extensive and very detailed and identified a problem missed previously. This led to physical therapy that was very helpful.

Dr. Elson is very thorough and thoughtful in her examination and consideration of the information I provide as the patient. Over the last two years, her diagnosis and treatment direction have made such improvement in my hip and glute problems that I am now able to go up stairs with no hesitation and go back to activities that I thought were closed to me. Prior doctors and specialists had no ideas or help for me.

Dr. Elson was very thorough in her examination, including a hands-on approach. She was knowledgeable about my current diagnoses and medical conditions and my long relationship with doctors and physical therapists at Spaulding. She made several suggestions focused on preventative measures which in my experience is not what doctors often do. She exhibited empathy and an interest in knowing about me as a person which I very much appreciated.

I arrived for the appointment slightly late even though I had tried very hard to budget enough time [redacted] The doctor was irritated and spoke very quickly in order to rush through the appointment as she had a [redacted] appointment right after my appointment. it was hard to take in everything she said, and hard to respond to her questions as it was the first time I had been to her and also I am just getting used to having this diagnosis. So for me, there was a lot of new and listening to and responding to her rapid speech and unfriendly manner was difficult. on the positive side, she had a lot to say about my condition and many recommendations, including a cervical x-ray. So I value her knowledge.

Hi, I met with Dr. Elson for the first time just last week. So she has some interesting takes on my condition, which has been puzzling for many other doctors. So I'm not sure yet how to rate her, if that's what you guys are asking me to do. I think time will tell. I'm eager to follow up on her suggestions. Certainly she listened to me and came up with a plan of attack that was refreshing.

You know, I have a chronic pain condition that's kind of mysterious, and I've seen dozens of doctors over the years, and every so often there's a doctor who I feel like gets me, who has a holistic approach, who's not overwhelmed, and Dr. Elson is one of those doctors. I felt like, you know, she had multiple ideas, she did, you know, everything that she could to help me. What she suggested made a lot of sense. She even recommended a video program. And that's really rare. And I feel like now with her, I have PT that she's in communication with, and she suggested ART, which is sort of a soft

Lauren is probably experienced in the area that I went to see and gave me some great advice, medical and even alternative treatments. So I was very happy with my result. I guess the only negative I'd say is that she's not very available. I've waited three months for this visit and I've got to wait another two months for the next visit. So other than that, maybe I can try her at other offices, I suppose. Anyway. I've got a treatment plan and she's validated some things about what I'm doing right and wrong, so all good.

I was able to see Dr. Elson as an "emergency. I had gone through the walk-in ortho clinic in Wellesley for a shoulder injury. After an MRI I was scheduled for an appt with Dr. [redacted] who advised surgery. I had been seeing Dr. Elson for a period of years for my back and wanted a second opinion as I was apprehensive even though I had scheduled the surgery. Dr. Elson was veery thorough with the exam and with her explanations. I left feeling confident that the surgery is necessary. [redacted]

Dr Lauren Elson was excellent. I have been struggling with hip pain for about 10 months and she was the only doctor that took the time to try to find out the cause.

Dr Elson cut me off when I tried to explain my history. She faced her computer, not me, and said she had to do a full exam. She had not read my history for why I was there, instead she asked me to send her a summary of prior injections because she did not have time to look because she had to do a full exam. She asked if I had had PT. I told her I had PT at Mass General. She asked why I went to Mass General and I explained that my PCP and all my doctors are there. [redacted] As she continued asking questions and typing into her computer, she asked me TWICE if I was taking vitamins or supplements. She wasn't listening to me. She had a very rough, unfriendly demeanor. It was my first time seeing her. It was not a good experience. [redacted]

Dr. Elson is amazing. She she has helped me through thick and thin when my body has turned against me and never gives up. And she always ops for conservative treatment before trying anything more significant to give my body. The chance to heal itself organically through physical therapy or chiropractic. She has also done some dry needling herself, which has made an amazing difference for me. She always has a positive attitude and explains things in a clear and kind way. She's also very encouraging and believes that I will heal all of which helps.
