Fantastic experience

Dr. Alpaugh was very pleasant, very inquisitive of how I was doing, and he was very concerned about the follow-up and follow-through and from my operation. I couldn't be happier with the results from Dr. Alpaugh, and I rate him very highly.

On a day when many people stayed home due to a snowstorm cleanup, this provider was in the office, which made for an expedient visit. Glad we could both show up for what would have been an easy appointment to cancel.

Seeing Kyle Alfa is always a great pleasure and very informative and very professional. I highly recommend him to anyone.

I have been in excruciating pain in my buttocks, I have been getting injections from a different doctor and I've been in PT. My PT person wrote a summary for the doctor and I don't know if he looked at it. He didn't really address my problem I still don't know what's causing this pain And it's excruciating. That's the main reason I went to see him. He took x-rays of my leg but he never went over anything with me as far as the x-rays he suggested I go to Dr [redacted] for injections, but I wanna know what's causing the pain and what would be the purpose of the injection. Dr Alpaugh spent 45 min with us explaining my options. He was very thoughtful and was a great listener. He went through risks and benefits and asked if we had questions. He answered all of our questions and when I left this appointment I felt a lot better.

Very friendly, explained my issues and future surgery thoroughly

He was very interested in my situation. He listened to everything I had to say. He's easy to talk to, warm and welcoming, which is very much appreciated.

This surgery is much more extensive than we expected. Why will he not see me again before surgery? He did not explain why he will sever a tendon. Which tendon? Evidently walking unassisted will become impossible. Why? He did not offer a pre or post operative plan.

Dr. Alpaugh is a great surgeon. He did my total knee replacement a year ago, and my leg is like new! I can quickly go up and down stairs, do daily walks and have an active life. There is never any pain. Dr. Alpaugh was willing to answer any question I had about the procedure, show me the xrays and provide a thorough explanation of the actual replacement parts on my knee. Great job!

Dr. Alpaugh and his PA, [redacted] were professional and helpful in their clinical explanations. They explained things well and were both fully present and listened.

It was a bit of a wait but was well worth it because Dr Alpaugh listened to what I had to say and explained in detail what was going to happen and what could happen if things didn't go exactly as planned. He also explained how long it could take to heal and some adverse situations could happen during recovery.

Dr. Alpaugh operated on my right hip and leg for a broken femur and partial revision arthroplasty. The surgery was done on an emergency basis on Labor Day weekend. I was grateful that Dr. Alpaugh was available and willing to help me. During my one-month follow-up appointment, he spent ample time with me to discuss progress and next steps. He is a highly skilled surgeon with a pleasant manner. I felt absolutely confident in his care.

I have dealt with left hip pain for over a year and since the end of [redacted] it has become unbearable to the extent that I am on short term disability from work. I have seen a NH Orthopedic surgeon, [redacted] and have been in Mass General's ED. None of them listened like Dr. Alpaugh! Even he said during my appointment, that I do not have any quality of life. The exact same thing I have been saying, but no one else listened!

Dr. Alpaugh and his PA were both wonderful. I had my 1 year R hip replacement visit but I really wanted to talk about my L knee(which was replaced 5 yea ago). I had no issues with my hip. Both providers did thorough exams of my knee and hip. I am a retired surgical provider myself and I couldn't ask for a better team. Although I didn't get the answer about my knee that I wanted to hear, their explanations were sound and evidence based. I appreciated their honesty.

He fully understands the issue I was having and explained to me that my previous knee replacement surgery that was performed on my knee the hardware was loose and I needed to have surgery a second time

Doc is a miricle worker. My knee feels great. The xray showed that all the things inplanted on my knee were still perfectly in place.

Well, I don't think there's a better orthopedic doctor around than Dr. Alpaugh. I've been going to him for quite a while and I've had experience some of his work. I had a knee transplant and he did an excellent job. I highly recommend him.

My experience was overall good. The only issue I had was with referrals. I was supposed to receive two referrals, but they were not mentioned in the after visit summary. I had to track them down by making numerous phone calls after the appointment. My previous provider (UCSD health) always mentioned the referrals in my after visit summary, so it was easy to follow up on them.

Dr Alpaugh gave me the confidence I needed to move forward with my procedure. I feel reassured that I will have the best care in my procedure.
