Dr. McCarthy is the best doctor I have ever had, and I'm [redacted]. Last year I experienced a lot of loss and she helped me get through that and identified my situation. She paused my exam and saw me, again, later to see how I was managing. She remembers details and is very present. She offers suggestions and confirms progress, but also looks after your overall care. I believe Dr. McCarthy cares about her patients.

I'm kind of confused because I don't know which visit this concerns since I saw different providers several days apart. I was not happy at all with my latest labs. Didn't like who took my blood and had a huge bruise and there was a mix up as to what blood test I was having as I was very specific

She is great and helps me talk about difficult things that I don't always want to talk about is also very respectful when I really don't wanna talk

Dr. McCarthy has excellent bedside manner, demonstrated active listening skills, and was transparent about when she needed to consult with another provider, and I left feeling heard and validated. Unfortunately, the medical system in America prioritizes risk reduction, acute care, and the treatment of diseases rather than holistic health and patient outcomes. Clinical guidelines do not enable clinicians to acknowledge that some patients fall outside of the normal distribution that human controlled outcomes account for, and as such, patients like myself are forced to seek treatment from sources that potentially lack adequate controls, ultimately putting the patient at more risk than if the clinician was able to utilize their own judgement and critical thinking skills. As a patient with an above average knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biology, I am unable to achieve the outcomes necessary to treat my ailments within this medical system. This is not a reflection of Dr. McCarthy and she appears to be an above average clinician, I'm merely providing transparent feedback about my experience in the hope that it may reach the correct audience some day. I look forward to meeting with Dr. McCarthy as my primary care physician going forward even though she is unable to provide guidance for one of the primary treatment modalities that has had the most significant improvement upon my holistic wellbeing.
