I first saw a resident who asked me several questions about my condition. She was thorough and gave good advice and explanations. I then saw Dr. Ikeda who examined me and offered options for my treatment. He, also, was thorough and explained answers to my questions.

The provider explained things clearly to me and made sure I understood. He prescribed medication and explained how to use it. He scheduled a follow up and answered all my questions. So I think he did a really good job

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Ikeda. Dr. Ikeda was knowledgeable about my previous care (also important to give credit to Dr. [redacted] amazing notes, which both Dr. Ikeda and I appreciated), and spent as much time as I needed to discuss my care. Not only was Dr. Ikeda helpful in treating my issue, but also in describing and discussing the nature of the issue (jaw muscle tightness), the potential causes, and outlining all treatment options, without pressuring me to any one answer. All in all, Dr. Ikeda was one of the best, most attentive, and caring physicians I have ever visited, which is a general trend I can say for all BWH physicians that I have seen, no matter which department. I have only ever had positive experiences at BWH, and it is clear to me why BWH has such a clear and positive reputation both locally and nationwide.

Dr. Ikeda gave me the choice to remove a tiny thing on my tongue or not. He said not cancerous and it was up to me if it was sore or grows if I want to have it removed. If he removed it today it would probably not grow back but it could. Dr. Ikeda did not have an opinion. Interesting. I chose to wait. Very kind and respectful doctor with the caution of a lawyer ha ha. I like him very much and will return as needed. Thanks.

I think he's wonderful. He knows my condition, trigeminal neuralgia, and he's just reasonable and explains and listens, and I just really like him.

Dr. Ikeda initially came off as a little intense. He wanted to know when I had taken a certain medication. I wasn't sure of the timing, but I have only good things to say about the visit. He was just focused and had been studying my history. I came away cautiously hopeful and I hadn't much hope before.

Good explanation and answer my questions

The intern dr and main dr were both very kind and caring in wanting to help with my TMJ problem. They listened well and explained projected treatment clearly and cared that I understood what to do. This is a very busy office and I did have to wait to be seen, but I appreciate a dr that takes the time needed for each patient.

The doctor was obviously extremely competent, but I found his manner to be abrupt, dismissive of what I wanted to say about my complicated situation, and lacking in any genuine concern or sympathy for my health issues. In addition, his final conclusions were a little muddled and difficult to thoroughly understand.

I gave a glowing review, and I just want to back that up that I wasn't just pressing numbers. Dr. Kentaro, the way he approached my jaw pain was so sincere and knowledgeable, and he believed me. It changed the way I want other doctors to respond to me. It gave me a new metric of how I should be treated. And that just is so clear that it flows out to the rest of the office. They are so friendly and professional. I love them. And he sticks needles in my face, and I still love going to see him. Thank you.

Dr. Ikeda was phenominal - I felt listened to and understood about my TMJ pain for the first time in years. And he gave me relief! I only wish I could have seen him sooner.

Hello. I would like to say that Dr. Ikeda was professional, knowledgeable, kind, considerate, and I couldn't have been more pleased. He helped me a lot, and I'm doing the exercises that he carefully explained. So that's what I'd like to say, and I recommended him to my dentist here at home so that she could refer other people to Dr. Kentaro Ikeda.

The two doctors I spoke with were exceptional. It was a stressful meeting and topic for me and they put me at fully at ease, answered all my questions, and developed solid next steps. I am excited to have them in my corner.

I was very impressed with the fact that he had studied my history and seemed to know details that I just don't find other doctors knowing when he or she comes to see me for the first time in the examination room. I was impressed with that.

He always answers questions thoroughly. He never makes you feel rushed. Sometimes there is a disconnect in communication and what I think is going to happen is not what happens or I think it didn't happen and find out later that it did. At times I feel he may minimize the risk of a particular treatment that he favors.
