About Julie Ann Ruane

Julie Ruane is a board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She works directly with Dr. Lars Richardson of the Sports Medicine Service and team physician for the Boston Bruins and Harvard University. A former collegiate athlete, Julie enjoys caring for the injured patient and assisting them in returning to the activities they enjoy.

Julie’s nursing career began in the inpatient hospital setting caring for orthopedic trauma and surgical patients. For over a decade now, Julie has been treating sports medicine patients in an outpatient setting. She is also a board certified Athletic Trainer with experience caring for athletes at a variety of levels.

In her free time Julie enjoys exercising, traveling, refereeing basketball and coaching youth basketball.
