I met Dr Fokum in 2007 when she was my dying father's Hospitalist at Salem Hospital. The professionalism and kindness with which she provided him care was better than any other I'd ever experienced. When Partners sent around a marketing piece with a photo of Dr Fokum announcing that she would be at NSPG Women's Ctr and providing primary care- well - I was SO excited that I called right away and signed up with her as my PCP. That was years ago. The care provided by Dr Fokum feels like family. I know of no other way to put it. Difficult to navigate though our health care system has become, Dr Fokum ALWAYS makes time for me, ALWAYS follows up and ALWAYS knows even my most recent history- in addition, of course, to my thorough medical history. How lucky am I?????

Dr Fokum had reviewed my history chart prior to my visit and was very prepared to discuss my current issues. She very patiently answered all of my questions and gave me advise.

She is a very, very good doctor. She has a way of making you feel comfortable and listen to you very carefully.

I like my primary care doctor. However I was quite disappointed that she did not go over my A1C or change in medication while I was still there in the exam room! She had the medical assistant called me the next day I was no happy about that at all.

Great experience with my doctor

I am a longtime patient of Dr. Fokum. She's saving my life. She puts me on all good feelings and watches over me and caring. And not only that, she listens to my complaints, makes appointments for me to have referrals, and they come very quickly. I can't say enough about Dr. Fokum. I think she's a marvelous, wonderful doctor. And I can't believe that I am lucky enough to have her, hopefully, for the rest of my time. Thank you very much.

Dr. Fokum is a very caring physician. She listens intently and she works closely with me as a patient. She understands my struggles, and she also offers solutions without having to take medication or pills because she knows I prefer not to.
