Dr. Rizzo and the resident were both courteous and reasonably thorough. I wish that an automated visual acuity test had been done. Otherwise, it was a satisfactory visit.

Dr. Rizzo was thorough in his review of the test results obtained by the practising fellow and by other eye exam staff. He took care to link the medical issues discussed to examples and concepts that provided concrete understanding for the layperson. He also practised active pedagogy with fellows and beginning career practitioners enabling them to make linkages to academic research and understand why results were the way they were. Beyond that Dr. Rizzo was extremely personable and understood how to communicate scientific concepts to a layperson.

The provider was very thorough. Went through all the x-rays, but the problem was he explained everything to his residence an a student that was there, but really didn't go over it with me. [redacted]

I would say that Dr. Rizzo is an absolute professional. He was online a little before our time slot so he was able to see me early, and during our meeting he was very personable. He asked me questions about my day to day and genuinely seemed interested in what I had to say.

Dr. Rizzo was thorough, a good listener and quick to pick up relevant data about my condition.

Excellent experience from start to finish. The doctor was knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to answer all my questions. Dr Rizzo was thorough in understanding my symptoms and knowledgeable of my diagnosis (NAION). He answered all my questions and provided insight into what I could expect in the future. I hope I don't have to see him again, but if I do, I know I will feel comfortable with his diagnosis and treatment, if available at that point.

Dr. Rizzo is fantastic. So knowledgeable, explained things, warm. I have complete trust in his medical opinion.

I would have to say that Dr. Rizzo was one of the most talented and conscientious doctors that I've had the pleasure of dealing with, not only recently, but most assuredly throughout my entire life. Hi, I was hoping that I would get a more concise report from the doctor on the day that I was there for my appointment. I had several vision tests done to me and I'm not clear on what those tests showed. So anyway, that's where my concern is. That I would like to know what the vision tests that they did on me, what it showed. Thank you.

Dr Rizzo and his team of residents were exceptional! I had many tests done during the appointment , and everyone was very kind and took the time to make sure that I understood results and next steps. I felt cared for respected and welcome!

It took me years to get a referral. It should not be so difficult. Then I waited a year for the appointment. On the positive side, all the tests were done on the same day!

Joseph Rizzo III, MD, is a brilliant neuro-ophthalmologist and a kind and caring physician. I am very fortunate to have him as my specialist.

He spent more time talking to his resident than he did with me.

I was thrilled that Dr Rizzo suggested that i am a candidate for eye surgery to solve my double vision problem. He explained that we have tried every kind of prism prescription and that has not been able to correct my problem. I am very glad that there is a correction.

I do not use any prescription medication, so that qu Reston was not applicable

He is a fantastic doctor. I was so at ease with him and we had great conversation. He taught me things that I didn't realize about my problem. I would definitely recommend him to everybody and I wish I was able to see him again.

Both he and the intern were efficient and caring, and did not cut any corners during the consult.

[redacted] While this doctor is very knowledgeable, I don't feel he fully took the time to listen to everything I wanted to say. And he didn't find anything wrong, which was fine, but he was kind of joking and not fully respectful in the way he provided the information to me, period.

Wish I had more time with Dr.Rizzo. Since this was our first time meeting, the resident did the exam, took notes and the second part of the visit Dr. Rizzo came in. He did a quick check of my eyes and felt that he was only teaching and not really speaking to me. Felt that my visit wasn't about me rather more for the students in the room. Did not feel comfortable that my visit had these students nor was I asked for this

Dr. Rizzo was a perfect blend of intelligent and compassionate. I have never felt so confident in a doctor that not only gave me a great deal of his time and expertise.. but welcomed my questions / concerns while also being so personable. Wonderful and exceptionally knowledgeable.

Dr Rizzo and his fellows knew I had vision and hearing issues so they slowed down and spoke clearly and were willing to talk to my dad for clarification on dates, times, treatments as some findings, syndromes were found early in life. I had a migraine and CSF leak mid appointment from testing and they offered to lower lights, etc. very caring

He was friendly , kind , had a good sense of humor! He was working with a Dr [redacted] who was also very nice! Listened to me and explained everything to me.
