I feel blessed to have had Dr. Konopka replace my left knee. Not only is he a talented, gifted surgeon, but he has a special way of communicating with patients so that they feel respected, heard, and understood.

He was very friendly and clearly explained all my options, including pluses and minuses for each approach. He listened to what I had to say and was very helpful in answering all of my questions.

Dr. Konopka is excellent. Glad to be his patient for my knees.

He was very informative about the procedure I would have and listened carefully. I was impressed with his knowledge and his assurance that I was a good candidate for surgery and the procedure that would be followed with a pre physical, etc. I was not sure about having the surgery but feel better about doing it.

I have seen Dr Konopka for the past 7 years and he has replaced both my hips. He has always been honest about what I needed to do for my own success and he has guided me through each surgery with dignity and great care. After my last surgery he sensed I was frustrated and down and he went the extra mile to make sure I received the proper care to get better. He will always attempt to find an answer whether it be something he can do or someone he can refer me to for help. I have such great respect for him and appreciate all he has done for me.

The experience was right on time and very efficent. I got the Xray neededright away and waited jus a few minutes for the doctor.

The provider entered with his mind made up. He spoke quickly, and left little time for [redacted] and caregivers to ask questions. He made reference to a radical surgery that would take away [redacted]'s existing mobility and independence. Because she could not verbally express her pain degree, he determined she had little pain. Caregivers were there to report on how she has been expressing pain, but this doctor offered them minimal opportunity to speak. This isn't the 50s to 70s when people with disabilities were given radical surgeries just to shut them up. This doctor may have good reviews, but he displayed an incredibly poor bedside manor, and an unbelievable view of [redacted]'s worth as a person, during this visit. The only positive thing that occurred was that she was referred to physiatry. [redacted]

I appreciated that Dr Konopka and his staff took time with me, watched out for my safety and respected the amount of pain my hip was giving me. Everybody was attentive and listened well. I was also grateful with the speed that Dr [redacted] referred me quickly to her colleague, once I decided my hip was not improving enough and that the quality my life was declining. EVERYBODY HAS BEEN SO KIND.

From the beginning to after the surgery, the communication was there. I knew every step of the journey what I was gonna be going through.

He replaced my hip in June things went well he has a wonderful team he works with he is very good at listening and answering questions I highly recommend him

Dr.Koponka explained things to me in a way I could understand. He listened to me and took his time with me. I was comfortable in asking questions.

We had a very informative conversation about any options and plausible outcomes. I believe that hip replacement is the most reasonable option for me. I'm still waiting for the scheduler's plan for surgery so we can inform our family and friends about my need for any support.

My experience with Dr. Konopka was very good. Quite disappointed that imaging can't get me in for a CT scan for 2 months.

There isn't really anything to say except, he is a very concerned dr. about how his patients are healing from surgery, and any other medical issue they are concerned about.

Very knowledgeable with deep experience. He is a surgeon but did not think an operation at this time was in my best interest which I really, really appreciate. I asked about another issue I had and he willingly provided direction on how I should proceed and he indicated he would help me with that also. Worth the wait. Although my knee replacement is scheduled 3 months out, he did my hip with excellent results. I am on a wait list if anyone cancels. I wouldn't want anyone but Dr Konopka perform my orthopedic surgeries.

Dr. Konopka is always professional and full of information regarding my hip replacement surgery. We discussed my upcoming surgery on the other hip for sometime in the summer.
