I chose MGH Dermatology after going to a number of other facilities & being highly dissatisfied with the care. Every time I walk into MGH Danvers, from [redacted] at the desk to Dr Kvedar I know I made the right choice: competent,professional & friendly.

I would say he was knowledgeable and gave me a good treatment. The visit seemed a bit rushed.

I requested this appointment to inspect an are might be a melanoma and got an appointment within few days. Dr. Kvedar took a biopsy for follow up.

I always feel that I'm in the best hands with Dr Kvedar. He's always a gentleman and always kind. He listens to my concerns and not only addresses them but explains the issue and a good course of action to take. My issues have been small, but he was my Mother's doctor while she was alive and I would take her to her appts with him. She had two types of advanced skin cancer. His care and compassion were extraordinary and I knew from those appts that he would be the kind of Specialist I wanted to be in my corner.

I am sure Dr Kvedar very skilled in his profession so this is just an observation and not a complaint. His exam was very fast but I assume he saw what he needed too. It was just more speedy than a previous dermatological exams.

Dr Kvedar was quite personable and attentive. Having had many dermatologist appointments in the past with other providers, I was surprised how quickly I was examined. Happy there were no issues!! But I did notice that.

I think the care at the MGH dermatologist is sub-par. I've visited other dermatologist offices for routine checkups and had significantly more thorough appointments. The other dermatologist I visited had imaging and measuring of skin marks, moles, freckles, etc. where she would inspect each area, take images, and ensure nothing was growing too rapidly, or changing color or shape. I'm relatively hairy, and she would take the time to examine any moles or marks in my hair. When visiting the dermatologist at MGH, I spoke to the doctor for approximately 5 minutes, and my "exam" was less than that. [redacted] Overall I feel like I could have done a better job examining myself. I don't even feel like I had an examination. You can certainly do better for your patients.

Dr. Kvedar and his staff are outstanding in every way. _________________ Your questions need to offer the choice of "not applicable" more often. For example, doctors and nurses do not always talk in front of patients. They now force patients to pick choices that are not relevant.

Dr. Joseph Kvedar is the best dermatologist I've ever consulted. He listens carefully. I've benefited from his extensive knowledge. He is also deeply caring. I would have greatly preferred seeing Dr kvedar alone without the attending physician he was training. They have very different values in dealing with patients. Dr Kvedar is a "10" in every way.

I had a basal cell area on the tip of my nose removed a few years ago, he saw a potential precursor $ froze it, so I won't need another operation

Dr. Kvedar is a wonderful doctor. He has provided excellent care for me. He listens to everything that I had to say about my concerns. He provides great feedback and recommended courses of action. And he finds ways to accommodate getting me in to be seen more quickly than waiting like a year. And sometimes it seems like it could take forever. He somehow manages to see me by squeezing me in places in his schedule. And I think he's an awesome doctor. I highly recommend him to anybody. And if I ever have to leave his care network, I'm going to be sad because I won't be able to get the new thing.

Actually, I really like the doctor. I have seen him before I believe but this time it was a very quick visit pleasant enough, and I'm always raving about Mass General and I am very blessed to be there as a patient and with my PCP there forever... But this visit was a little bit too quick for me. I had to ask about what do I put on this free spots and he just said Vaseline, he mentioned but we didn't discuss sunblock... [redacted] He was kind and pleasant enough as I said but we were together for probably 5 to 7 minutes tops... It's all good ---it's all part of the process! [redacted]
