He shaved it off, shaved it down, and he was very polite and kind. And my mother likes to go see him. She's [redacted] and [redacted] she's doing a lot better now. She was in a lot of pain and now her toe feels a lot better. [redacted] He's really good at what he does and he makes the patients feel comfortable.

Dr. Hartigan has vast experience. I was happy to see a doctor that has had a lot of experience. He was very cordial and seemed to care very much about my condition.

Very nice man. Checked my feet thoroughly. Explained the medical plan. However, I'm a decades long runner (40+ years) and am a relatively familiar with my foot issues. Some of the possible reasons for my injury didn't apply (tight fitting shoes for example, or how much I paid for them). He ended up instructing me to get certain shoes and orthotic inserts. He didn't explain why and what they would do. I'd like to know this. I want to be part of the solution. [redacted]

Dr. Hartigan is one of the best physicians I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I have been seeing him for a few years now. He's always pleasant. He is remarkably astute in what he does. He's just a very good physician and has a great manner about him. I would recommend him to anybody.

Dr. Hartigan rushed into the room, looked at my toe, took the bandage off, and just turned around and cut right into where I guess needed to be done. There's no discussion, no explanation, nothing. And then put a big band-aid on it, and then left.

Dr Hartigan is so caring and knowledgeable. He helped me during a difficult time and was so kind throughout the whole time. He even tucked me in with a warm blanket before surgery. So sweet

I would prefer it if Dr. Hartigan had given me a sheet of paper with instructions for home care to take with me. He speaks very quickly and I'm not able to grasp every single detail of what he says and the time he takes to say it. And I would just appreciate something in writing that I can refer to when I'm home.

I've been very disappointed with my last couple of visits to the multi specialty clinic because the wait time has been over an hour. I don't hold this against the provider at all, I believe this is it building administration/system issue it is very upsetting to me as a patient.

Stayed late on a Friday to get a foreign object removed from my foot. Whole experience was very efficient. Doctor saw me, went right in to get images, and he then was able to remove the object from my foot. Was very nervous going in but talked me through everything step by step.

The doctor was very pleasant and took care of my problem toe very quickly. The visit was brief, and I might have liked to get a little more information on how to avoid the problem in the future. However, the problem was solved and I guess the doctor didn't think there was need for any further time spent on it.

He was very good and diagnosed my condition quickly. He treated it on the spot with a cortisone shot and prescribed orthotics and special shoes. I was very satisfied. My only concern is that when I read the visit notes online afterwards he wrote about my having a hammertoe, which wasn't mentioned at the visit, nor do I believe I have one. He may have pasted a stock response and didn't edit it properly as it came as a surprise to me. It also mentioned "recommend wider shoes and a bigger toe box" which was also not relevant as at the visit he commented on what good shoes I was wearing, plenty wide. So these stock answers on the "after visit summary". Otherwise, it was all good and I've already recommended him to my husband.

It's unfortunate, this doctor didn't even introduce himself to me no name. He was rude, he was rough sticking those needles in my shoulder, he didn't tell me what he was doing etc. that was the worst experience I had. [redacted] His bedside manners was horrible. Waited almost an hour. Visit seemed very rushed. No exercises were discussed though after care notes indicate I was advised of exercises, that did not happen and when my daughter asked why, she was told the doctor liked to try new shoes first. Dr. also prescribed meds but again did not advise, only after he left did my daughter ask him and he said he was putting in the prescription. Notes indicate I was in a wheelchair but it was a transfer chair, I am able to walk and offered to get out of the chair, he said no. I am sure he is an excellent doctor but at [redacted] it is difficult to wait almost an hour and to then leave without exercises only to find out the after action says they were provided.

Other than waiting 45 min past appt time everything went well. I do expect the wait time...many years of appts for my spastic diploma cp kiddo. Dr. Hartigan was quick and efficient with her, which was much appreciated.

Dr. Hartigan told me that I had broken my left toe in 2009. The doctor that diagnosed that in 2009 was wrong. Dr. Thomas Hartigan was able to tell me that there was a piece of bone underneath my big toe, left big toe, and now I need an operation. I saw Dr. Hartigan about 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I had expected the appointment to be on time so I could leave to meet another commitment afterwards. I said I was pressed for time (as it turned out, someone else did what I have planned to do), and I basically got the care I needed, but the appointment felt a bit rushed.

Both the nurse and MD were respectful, friendly, and thoroughly communicated the steps of my procedure.

This very busy office runs like a tight ship. At my last visit, Dr. Hartigan was running behind. I was told that he was behind, which I appreciated. When I had my consult with the Dr. he was thorough and personable. He answered my questions. I didn't feel that he was rushing.

Not much information shared with me unless I asked a specific question. My previous visits to other podiatrists included trimmi g my feet and cutting my toenails. He did neither.

Both the visits to the ER and both times that I was admitted the Carrr I receive was excellent although the states were both long in the emergency room. It was still a very positive as they checked on you all the time and really had a fantastic bedside manner, including a really super ER doctor. She was great.

This is the first time I'm seeing this provider. I did not have any dealings with medication, but it seems like in a hurry and not really caring about me or listening to me, because I don't have a major problem in what he came to see him about. But I would like to see a little care and attention. He said he recommended I see somebody else, you know, as though he doesn't want to see me. End of story. I don't know, I don't know. I don't know if he was in a rush that day, I don't know what other problems he might have had, or I guess was not important, or I don't know. But I felt not cared for, or not, you know, maybe I was unimportant, I don't know. Maybe my problem wasn't as big a problem for him, I don't know. But it was so rushed, and he wasn't listening, he was recommending another provider. I was not happy with that visit at all. Okay.

[redacted]. This doctor, you know, he's very, like, arrogant, but he's very good. That kind of sums him up. You know, he's been at it a while, so I feel like people got really full of themselves. My surgery went great. I had a bunion surgery with him, and then, like, three years later, it still looks very good. He's very knowledgeable. He probably knows most things he can about feet. He runs behind on schedule, but no one minds because he's so good, I think.

I have a wonderful experience with Dr. Joseph Hartigan. And anyways, about my feet problem, bonium and everything concerning, he's always concerning about how I'm doing, how I am after the surgery. So for me, he is one of the best. I'm a food doctor in Brigham and Women's in Faulkner. And I give him 10, always. My experience with him is wonderful.

. He would not cut my nails as my previous podiatrist did. He did not offer Follow up care. He did give me some good suggestions for shoes, and a 10% discount note for marathon sports. All in all, he seemed rather disinterested and inattentive.

He was through and direct. He looked at the Xray and saw the problem immediately. He had suggestions on treatment and provided source information where I could get further help. He offered to provide further treatment if the problem got worse.

I had a hard time understanding him. He didn't speak clearly. He also said he'd give me some medicine but didn't, nor did he give me a prescription.

I am trying his recommendations and hope they work.

Please be aware that I do not know about nurse/ doctor communication. I did neglect to mention a small plantar wart on bottom of right foot. Respective to my request for medicine to treat nail fungus, I received a prescription.

So my experience, my recent experience was mostly good. [redacted] when Dr. Hartigan actually had to visit with me, he seemed pretty rushed and he was like scooning out the door before I really was finished telling him about my concerns. So I had to kind of, assertively ask him one more question so that he will answer it for me, but I would have appreciated if he wouldn't have started walking out the door without asking me if I'm done with all of my concerns regarding my foot.
