This was my first visit with Dr. Alvarez. He replaced a provider that I had had for quite a few years who had left. And so I was a little leery about him, but found him to be amazingly professional, very attentive. I'm very pleased with my new provider, Jorge Alvarez.

Dr. A spent was very detailed and informative, and made me a part of the decision process.

Dr. Alvarez did an excellent job describing the issues from my ekg abnormalities and there were no major concerns. He did order an echocardiogram which came back normal and he responded to the results quickly via Patient Gateway.

Dr. Alvarez really indicates that he cares about his patients, listening to what they have to say and responding appropriately.

It was a good experience. First time I've met the doctor and he was very kind. He was very thorough and it was very easy to talk to him.

very smart but made me feel like my questions were stupid and unnessary

I would prefer the person who did my blood pressure to go over the list of medications and supplements. I completed the Pre visit online form which lists all the medications and supplements. Dr. Alvarez spent 5 -6 minutes going over each one again. I would have preferred to use that extra time to discuss aspects of my heart. There were 2 meds that I deleted on the online Pre appointment. The discussion on that was appropriate. I also would have liked Dr. Alvarez to recheck my BP which was high when I arrived.

Dr. Alvarez is very thorough and knows my chart and we review it together each time I visit he always asks how I'm doing and always ask if I have any further questions which I typically do. He answers them thoroughly and clearly for me and I do feel like I am heard

Dr. Alvarez explains the issues well. He is like a teacher. A good teacher. His recommendations are backed up with reasons.

I wish he would have been on time, he was running 40 minutes late.

Dr. Alvarez was very well informed concerning my medical history. He ordered some blood tests. I have not yet seen his notes or his comments concerning his overall recommendations given the results of the lab work. I did have a message from my primary care physician concerning those results and I will follow her recommendation. I don't know whether she received notes from Dr. Alvarez.

I had not been seen by Dr Alvarez prior to this appointment. He was well prepared for my visit, knowing details about my past medical history. He asked excellent questions, offered explanations for any I had and seemed genuinely interested in helping me understand my medical prognosis. He also has a good sense of humor while not being dismissive of the patient's concerns which is so important.

The dr. was very good in answering my question and explaining things in a way I could understand. I feel he really took my health very serious.

He has always been ? thorough going over the meds and when he would change a certain med or just delete it he would explain why and always wanted me to understand his reasoning behind it.
