Excellent experience. Dr. Park is an exceptional Doctor.

Dr. Park was prompt and attentive, thank you. Unfortunately he was not prepared at all. It was very clear he had not looked at my file and began asking me questions that showcased this immediately. It was frustrating to re tell my entire situation. He made a comment the moment he walked in of " do you always sound like this? You sound hoarse" to which I responded yes this is why I am here for treatment I've had over 80 surgeries. He then posed the question to me of "how do we know this treatment is working?" To which I responded "wed have to look down my throat?" I felt like it was pretty insulting to be asked these two obvious questions that would have been answered if he had read my notes. I understand he may have had a tough day and completely understand. It happens but it was not a great experience. Lastly, I had shared some optimism of a new fda approved drug and how I hope someday in the future whenever that is that I might qualify for it. He dismissed it and shared we probably wouldn't give you that if this treatment is working. It felt pretty cold to be honest. Again - I'm sure it was just a bad moment for him, and he meant nothing by it, but for someone who wasn't prepared that seems like a quick jump to give me a conclusive answer after quickly getting caught up.

And the doctors were not on the same page. They didn't review the medical file and didn't really seem to know what's going on. [redacted]

I had a team meeting with Dr. Park and I can't remember, I'm sorry, the other gentleman's name. Both of them were awesome. They spent a lot of time with me. They answered all my questions. They weren't put off by my questions and my desire to know more. They really expressed empathy and knew that I had dealt with cancer rather recently and were very sympathetic and they gave me, I would say, a pretty unvarnished idea of what was going to happen and the order in which it would happen and when we would see each other again. All in all, I was really pleased with the team meeting. Thank you.
