Jessica Shui, MD, is an attending neonatologist in the neonatal intensive care unit at Mass General for Children, where she provides clinical care and supervises trainees. Dr. Shui earned her medical degree from New York Medical College and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, University of Connecticut. She continued her clinical training in the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship program at New York Presbyterian – Columbia University Medical Center where she also served as a chief fellow physician.
She joined the Lorenzo Berra Laboratory where her research focus includes providing an individualized approach to promote gentle ventilation in infants with developing lungs. She founded and leads the Enhancing NICU Considerations Of Respiratory strategies with Electrical impedance tomography (ENCORE) team to provide consultative services to critically ill infants. This consultative service and expertise is unique in the United States and is exclusively offered at Massachusetts General Hospital.
