Spent time with me & partner discussing med options. She was very thorough, empathetic and genuine in her care. I was there for a second opinion in regards to meds if and when current oncologist retires I would definitely request Dr. Shin as primary oncologist.

She not only reviews what was pending from our last appt but is super careful about my current symptoms, which is to be expected but doesn't always happen with other doctors. Dr. Shin is the vest but tends to run late. I appreciate that she spends all the time needed with her patients but then that causes her to run behind. Maybe more time needs to be built in for her appointments.

MGB has amazing docs and staff and if someone is actually reading this and it's not being fed into AI, MGB need to support them and keep them! My husband has worked there for 30 years and he has never been so less proud to work for an institution. You are gonna lose your no 1 status quick.

Dr. Shin was the perfect oncologist for me when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. She clearly explained every aspect of my specific cancer, what to expect from all aspects of treatment, as well as what the follow-up care would entail. She has taken as much time as needed to listen to my questions and to answer them until I understood; she is also a very empathetic doctor, who always reassured me and made me feel better at each visit. She has never made me feel rushed, or seemed impatient about any question or symptom I had concerns about, but patiently took the time to answer my questions and reassure me in a frank and truthful manner when I asked for any information. I felt so blessed to have been, and continue to be, under her care.
